Position Title: Senior Analyst, Business Strategy & Analytics (Marketing and Loyalty) (Product Manager) 

 

Position Summary:

JetBlue is looking for a Senior Analyst (Business Strategy & Analytics) to join the Marketing and Loyalty team in Long Island City. This impactful and unique role will support Product and Marketing teams and report to both the Director of Product Development and the Vice President of Marketing. The Senior Analyst will focus on providing financial tracking, analysis, and internal reporting as well as support strategic alignment and transparency regarding the team’s budget across all teams.

 

The Senior Analyst is responsible for maintaining accurate cost and revenue forecasts, implementing and tracking cost savings and revenue generating programs, and other financial-related tasks as required. Additionally, the role will support the development and implementation of new/enhanced products and services by providing project management and business case support, as well as through producing internal communications that clearly articulate how these initiatives support JetBlue’s broader strategy.

 

The ideal candidate has a passion for aviation and highly-developed quantitative, interpersonal, and communication skills. Essential Responsibilities:

· Maintain accurate cost and revenue forecasts

· Provide regular financial reporting and analysis to JetBlue leadership and other stakeholders, including analysis of performance vs budget, month-end accruals, and modeling to support decision making

· Produce internal communications for JetBlue leadership that clearly articulate how new or enhanced products support JetBlue’s broader strategy

· Serve as team point of contact for RFPs, coordinating cross-functionally to finalize logistics of product launches

· Work with Product Development’s Business Partners to evaluate strategies to lower costs and/or increase revenues for JetBlue

· Track contractual commitments made by Marketing leadership for regular compliance reporting

· Maintain understanding of contractual funds for co-op and track their use

· Support leadership team in reporting and presenting financial summaries as needed to business leadership

· Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field

· Three (3) years of analytical experience in aviation, finance, management consulting, or a related field

· Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

· Experience communicating with senior leadership

· Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)

· Able pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

· Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

 

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

· Master’s degree in business or related area

· Working knowledge of all the areas within Product Development

· Three (3) years project management experience

· Three (3) years business partner contract management and negotiation experience

· Three (3) years Customer service experience, preferably in the airline industry

 

Crewmember Expectations:

· Regular attendance and punctuality

· Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

· Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

· When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

· Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards

· Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR)
