Position Summary 

The Manager, Strategic Sourcing – Decision Support and Analyticsis responsible for developing and implementing data-driven tools and processes across Structural Programs & Treasury to drive greater efficiencies, automation, and higher Crewmember productivity. 

The Manager will work closely with leaders across the organization to implement high-quality, data-driven solutions to complex business challenges. The Manager uses data gathering, modeling and analytical techniques to interpret key findings and leverage these insights into initiatives that will support business outcomes.   The Manager applies their data analysis expertise to solving real-world problems faced by our company and finding opportunities for improvement across projects, teams and business units. 

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and Structural Programs & Treasury Crewmembers to identify pain-points and process improvements in JetBlue’s current state processes 

  • Lead cross-functional projects using data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities 

  • Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions 

  • Design and build technical processes to address business issues 

  • Oversee the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions, key operations and performance metrics 

  • Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective collaboration with stakeholders 

  • Communicate results and business impacts of initiatives to cross-functional partners, crewleaders, and stakeholders  

  • Support an environment of robust collaboration and teamwork across all internal and external stakeholders (e.g. FP&A, IT, Legal, Compliance, A/P, Marketing, and Business Partners) 

  • Continually build capabilities and benchmark industry best practices and technologies by participating in collaborative discussions, seminars, and workshops 

  • Lead process/technology initiatives to support knowledge management, identify gaps, develop and align strategies, identify potential solutions, make recommendations, and lead implementation of best-in-class platforms and practices; including data management, contract management, Business Partner relationship management, spend analytics, collaborative planning tools, and others. 

  • Support discussions with senior stakeholders owners to align on the appropriate strategy, identify potential solutions, make recommendations, and lead implementation of best-in-class business practices, processes, and technologies 

  • Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support the engagement, growth, goal achievement 

  • Other duties as assigned 

MinimumExperience and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Supply Chain, Finance, Statistics, or related area 

  • Five (5)  of relevant functional experience with a focus on monitoring, managing, manipulating and drawing insights from data 

  • Experience with querying languages and data visualization tools 

  • Proactive, self-starter with proven track record of driving results 

  • Strong leadership abilities, along with excellent written, verbal, analytical, negotiation, and presentation skills. 

  • Ability to influence up and across, work collaboratively, leading cross-functional teams 

  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Visio and Access a plus 

  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test 

  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located 

Preferred Experience and Qualifications 

  • Previous experience in a consulting firm or in an “internal consulting” role within industry 

  • Experience with programming languages 

  • Previous leadership experience 

Crewmember Expectations:  

  • Regular attendance and punctuality  

  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice 

  • Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance 

  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft 

  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun  

  • Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue’s Safety Management System

  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR)) 

  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls 

  • Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
