Supervisor Fraud

 

Position Summary: 

The Supervisor will assist the Manager with implementing the new and existing Fraud Team projects and communicate with all necessary internal departments and business partners to facilitate operations.  

Essential Responsibilities: 

  • Coach and mentor Crewmembers by monitoring task completion, ensuring accountability, and developing written and verbal communication skills for direct reports

  • Take a significant role in the development of Crewmembers to support engagement, growth, and goal achievement

  • Coordinate efforts with other teams and departments to support information sharing across frontlines

  • Assists with investigation of fraud and or other illegal activities. Helps identify significant issues, control weaknesses, and makes recommendations to minimize exposure or loss. 

  • Assists the Manager in the development, implementation and management of tools, techniques, processes, and procedures for detection/prevention of fraud or illegal activities. 

  • Helps analyze, identify and communicate emerging risk trends to help develop policies and metrics to measure and mitigate fraud risk exposure.

  • Assists in the development and design of reports spreadsheets and statistics for Revenue Protection and Analysis, Loyalty Fraud, and Travel Agent Audits.

  • Train new and existing Crewmembers

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant experience

  • Three (3) years of leadership experience or project management

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Internet Explorer 

  • Effective research skills including the ability to analyze information and make determination 

  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)

  • Able to pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test 

  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located 

  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications: 

  • Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certified Internal Auditor

  • Previous fraud investigations experience  

  • Leadership experience 

  • Knowledge in relational database and query languages helpful (SQL, Python, etc).

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy 

  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems 

  • Ability to communicate ideas and recommendations to all levels within the Company

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Effective coaching and mentoring skills 

  • Excellent time management skills 

  • Knowledge of the Sabre Reservations system, including queues, PNR, ACS, inventory, pricing, and ticketing  

Crewmember Expectations:  

  • Regular attendance and punctuality  

  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice

  • Able to maintain a professional appearance 

  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
