Position Title: Analyst, Brand and Consumer Insights


Position Summary

The Brand and Consumer Insights Analyst works with the Manager of Brand and Consumer Insights within JetBlue’s Marketing and Loyalty organization to measure the health of JetBlue’s brand and how we benchmark against key competitors inside our current network and potential geographies. They will use qualitative and quantitative methodologies to identify key drivers for Brand health, consumer purchase intent, consumer segmentation and marketing needs of key consumers.


The Analyst assists with data collection and reporting of Brand, loyalty, and consumer metrics whether through a business partner or other identified internal processes. The Analyst will assist with presenting analyses and provide thoughtful recommendations through presentations and reports. They will help monitor Brand trends, markets, competitor activities, and any fluctuations from marketing and advertising activities. The Analyst will also contribute to project progression, reporting to those managing the project.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop dashboards around Customer and consumer metrics   
  • Use statistical analysis and text analysis to provide insights into consumer research to determine key drivers of Brand, loyalty, and purchase
  • Monitor and report out on metrics based on Brand, loyalty, and consumer purchase goals for JetBlue
  • Help support the building of automated and self-service reporting in business intelligence tool
  • Support work with the brand business partner to provide information and data requests
  • Deliver high-quality ad-hoc analyses for stakeholders with quick turnaround time
  • Other duties as required


Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in analytical or quantitative discipline; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant experience.
  • One (1) year of airline industry and/or analytical work experience
  • Demonstrate knowledge of statistical procedures (e.g., ANOVA, correlation, regression) through a work sample
  • Knowledge of consumer behavior and marketing
  • Intermediate knowledge using analytical and data mining tools (SQL, R or comparable analytics software)
  • Able to work flexible hours and be available for an emergency response on short notice
  • Available for occasional travel (10%)
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located


Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Three (3) years’ experience in advanced research methods and analysis, including experience with R or similar analysis tools
  • Two (2) years of airline industry and/or analytical work experience
  • One (1) year experience working with SQL database using SQL Server Management Studio or relevant querying tools
  • One (1) year experience with business intelligence solutions like Tableau

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
