Position Summary
The Supervisor Inflight Training leads a team of adjunct and full-time JetBlue University (JBU) instructors as they provide crewmembers with Inflight training programs that promote the JetBlue experience, meet operational needs and comply with the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) requirements.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of adjunct and full-time JetBlue University Inflight instructors
- Manage the initial/continuous education courses including online and classroom offerings
- Work with other training Supervisors to ensure consistency between programs, processes and products
- Support and participate in other Inflight Training initiatives
- Oversee the daily tactical initiatives executed by Inflight training instructors to successfully present the crewmembers with appropriate training
- Ensure College of Inflight Training programs are delivered in compliance with regulatory and JBU standards
- Manage budget as it applies to the classroom environment
- Assist in the recruitment, leadership and development of Inflight instructors (full-time and/or part-time)
- Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth and goal achievement
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Three (3) years of training experience
- One (1) year of experience leading a team or projects
- Detail oriented and possess effective organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Maintain currency as a JetBlue Inflight crewmember or successfully complete JetBlue Airways Inflight Training Program, including Initial Training and Annual Continuous Education Programs
- Must have the ability to walk comfortably down the aircraft aisle while facing forward, fit quickly through the over wing exit, and sit in the Flight Attendant jump seat without modification
- Able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds from the floor to above the shoulders
- Able to reach six feet three inches (6’3”) without shoes
- Able to prepare and administer oral and written examinations
- Able to work varying schedules including reserve duty, weekends, evenings, holidays and last minute drafting if needed
- Remain composed in a demanding, fast-paced work environment and take control in unexpected situations
- Available for overnight travel (up to 25%)
- Currently in possession of a valid Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States on a frequent basis
- Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- One (1) year of prior experience as a Flight Attendant in another Part 121 carrier
- Five (5) years of experience offering formal training
- Two (2) years of experience leading a team or projects
- Excellent coaching skills and the ability to motivate and mentor direct reports
- Ability to appropriately manage multiple tasks with accuracy and diplomacy
- Ability to adapt effectively to new processes or requirements while encouraging others
Crewmember Expectations
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
- Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
- The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position
