Position Summary
The Senior Analyst, Inflight Policy and Compliance reports to the Senior Manager Inflight Experience and will provide support in the development and execution of policies, processes, and other initiatives that encourage Crew Leader/Crewmember growth and excellence.
The Senior Analyst assists in managing Labor preparations, projects and policy from start to finish that include reporting, researching, and data gathering. The Senior Analyst is a skilled influencer, demonstrates solid time management skills, and is a model citizen of JetBlue’s values.
Essential Responsibilities
- Ensures the upkeep of the Inflight Blue Book Supplement (IBBS) and Inflight Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA)
- Maintains knowledge of the IBBS, CBA, Crewmember Blue Book (CBB) and basic understanding of other workgroup manuals
- Assists with researching, developing, and implementing policies and guidelines that support Inflight Leaders and Crewmembers mainly in their non-regulatory functions
- Collaborates with leadership through all stages of policy building and review processes
- Designs, implements and maintains procedures to facilitate the manual revision process
- Drives process improvement and change through methods of education, corrective action, and follow up with policy owners, leadership, stakeholders
- Assists with oversight of Inflight Committee work including but not limited to Hotels, Uniforms, IPWG, etc.
- Identifies areas of risk through data assessment and analysis to be presented effectively through data visualization
- Gathers pertinent information for complaint/grievance responses on behalf of Inflight Leadership
- Coordinates logistics of meetings, events, trainings and other special projects for the SM, as necessary
- Responsible for maintaining and posting quarterly Inflight Seniority list, along with responding to any Inflight crewmember seniority list protests or concerns from the Union
- Prepare and document materials for Inflight VP Grievance hearings, Mediations, Arbitrations, Negotiations, etc
- Supports Inflight SPA programs, as needed
- Reviews Inflight Performance and Dependability PGs and ERs
- Partners on Leave of Absence (including FMLA) compliance
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
- Three (3) years Inflight (flight attendant) or Inflight-related experience
- Experience organizing/coordinating projects while providing exceptional customer service
- Flexibility, agility and change management skills
- Strong capabilities with the Microsoft Office suite as well as Adobe Acrobat and other tools of communication
- Experience writing/editing internal communications
- Able to work flexible hours and be available for emergency response on short notice
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field
- Proven project management and project execution skills
- Intermediate knowledge of SharePoint
- Ability to manage risk, rapidly resolve issues and recognize when escalation is necessary
- Ability to work effectively with all levels and in diverse environments with minimal supervision

- Financial acumen
- Working knowledge of all areas within Inflight
- Working knowledge of Part 121 Federal Aviation Regulations

- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $56,500.00 and $103,100.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
