Position Title: Senior Analyst International Programs _____________________________________________________________________________________________ 


Position Summary 

The Senior Analyst supports the Manager Navigation & International Programs, in coordinating international compliance with foreign requirements and industry best practices.   The Senior Analyst will report back to the Manager Navigation & International Programs all changes in countries regulations that apply to JetBlue Operation. The Analyst is an effective communicator, both verbally and written, and interacts with diverse groups of people at different levels within the organization. The Analyst can anticipate and manage people's expectations, is comfortable speaking in front of large groups, and is a resilient individual whose personal values match JetBlue's values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion, and Fun. 

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Work with all departments to ensure compliance with international regulations and awareness of industry best practices. 
  • Monitor international regulatory and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standard changes and ensure a proper corporate response and compliance. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with foreign regulators and relevant industry groups. 
  • Support Commercial Team in any potential new international operations. 
  • Provide support and make recommendations to enhance international operations (Pilots, Dispatchers and Leadership). 
  • Provide support and recommendations to ensure JetBlue maintains an edge with international operational environmental sustainability standards and best practices. 
  • Work with foreign regulators and agencies to incorporate technological and navigational enhancements into the operations into those countries. 
  • Company interface for conformance to ICAO operational Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs). 
  • Company interface for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on matters concerning international compliance. 
  • Ensure that foreign registries and operations specifications are kept current and accurate.  
  • Participation in industry working groups such as A4A, IATA RCG, ICAO, CANSO, ALTA supporting the Manager Navigation and International Programs in creating strategies, policies and guidance to improve the operational efficiency of JetBlue operations. 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Minimum Experience and Qualifications 

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • Three (3) years of experience interacting with international regulatory agencies 
  • Experience understanding regulations, standards and how they apply to the operation 
  • Thorough familiarity with foreign cultures and operating practices. 
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in flight operations, dispatch, ATM and/or another related field.   
  • Knowledge on the North Atlantic (NAT) – Organized Track System (OTS) structure and requirements and Extended Twin Engine Operations (ETOPS).  
  • Ability to speak, write and read Spanish fluently.  Other languages a plus. 
  • Ability to deliver data findings through presentations and reporting to senior leadership. 
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, Outlook and Microsoft Office and other relevant software tools. 
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy 
  • Available for international travel (40%) 
  • Valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
  • Able to pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test 
  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located  

Preferred Experience and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical area of study 
  • Two (2) years of experience in aviation or airline operations 
  • Knowledge of EASA regulations and requirements. 
  • Familiarity with aeronautical navigation and charting systems and information 

Crewmember Expectations:  

  • Regular attendance and punctuality  
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice 
  • Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance 
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards  
  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
