Position Summary
The Program Manager, Engine Builds Accessories & QEC serves as the liaison between engine shops, maintenance, planning, repairs, Engine Programs & materials to ensure engine accessories & QEC are available for off-wing engine builds, new engines, and engines returning from the shop to support scheduled and unscheduled engine changes. The Program Manager will be responsible for strategically planning and working with material planning, local material specialists, and long-term maintenance planning to proactively allocate parts for engine builds for both scheduled as well as unscheduled engine changes at our MX bases. This includes but is not limited to proper allocation & management of relevant rotables, expendables, and consumables & routine reporting to enhance visibility to all stations for supporting off-wing engines. This role will report directly to the Manager, Engine Programs.
Essential Responsibilities
- Monitor / liaison with our Business Partners to identify missing parts from shop paperwork prior to shipment of the Engine from Business Partners.
- Liaison with Material Planning & Technical Purchasing to ensure stations are kept at appropriate stocking levels for required Engine changes.
- Liaison with Mx Planning to ensure part availability aligns with scheduled engine changes.
- Collaborate with Maintenance, maintenance planning & materials to ensure parts are onsite, received, and available for scheduled engine changes & estimated qty. available for unscheduled engine changes
- Report out on a routine basis to all Mx stations on part availability, risks, & status
- Coordinate with QC, QA & Engine Repair Account Reps to ensure Engines are available & have an MX-41 tag to support engine changes for new and shop deliveries.
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Proficient in Trax
- Four (4) years working for an Airline in materials, or two (2) years of material coordination experience or equivalent
- Two (2) years direct experience with engine changes and/or Engine accessory / QEC management
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- A&P License
