Manager, Values Relations
Position Summary
The Manager Values Relations reports to the General Manager, Crew and Values Relations and is responsible for enhancing and maintaining positive Crew Relations to preserve our Direct Relationship with frontline crewmembers. Additionally, the Manager will be charged with helping to develop the strategies for the Values Committees (Union free workgroups) and partnering with the Operating Department leadership in executing on those strategies.
The Manager is an effective communicator and enjoys interacting with people at different levels within the organization and building and maintaining relationships. The Manager is comfortable working in a non-routine environment, is a skilled influencer, and an effective and resilient leader whose personal values match JetBlue’s values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun.
Essential Responsibilities
- Establishes relationships with Senior Leaders to foster cross functional collaboration and positive solutions and acts as a liaison between Senior Leaders and frontline crewmembers
- Oversees Values Relations by partnering with leadership of each workgroup including leadership liaisons
- Partners with People Data Insight to track data trends on engagement and positive Crew Relations concerns and monitors progress towards resolution
- Supports and ensures successful results of Values Committee projects/initiatives and provides direction to senior leadership
- Oversees communication strategies and partners with Corporate Communication to ensure that the company is effectively communicating with crewmembers regarding top concerns
- Takes a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement
- Plans and carries out work assignments; resolves most conflicts which arise; coordinates work with others as necessary; interprets policy on own initiative in terms of established objectives. Keeps crewleader informed of progress, potentially controversial matters, or far-reaching implications
- Trains, assigns work to, and checks work of crewmembers; does not conduct the same work as that crewmember on a regular basis
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Five (5) years of experience in Human Resources OR five (5) years of leadership experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage projects concurrently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Available for moderate overnight travel (up to 30%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Conflict Resolution, Human Resources, Labor Relations, or Organizational Psychology
- Master's degree in Business or Human Resources
- Prior airline experience
- Project management experience
Crewmember Expectations:
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
- Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
- Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue’s Safety Management System
- Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy, and behavioral standards
- Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) and Safety Action Report (SAR))
- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
- Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
- The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $80,000.00 and $136,200.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
