Position Summary

The Crew Advanced Passenger Information Service and Master Crew List (APIS/MCL) Coordinator will monitor and maintain the crew records for all active JetBlue Pilots, Inflight and Non-Crew riders under the supervision of the Crew APIS and MCL Compliance Analyst.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Process all passport, name and address changes in crew management systems
  • Send out passport notifications to Pilots, Inflight and Non-Crew riders
  • Assist with researching any U.S. and international security and enforcement agency (e.g., Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Customs and Border Protection (CBP)) data issues and present findings to Crew APIS and MCL Compliance Analyst
  • Conduct regular audits of crew management records (Pilots/Inflight) for errors
  • Communicate with Flight/Inflight Leadership and Crew Services if Pilot/Inflight has expired passport
  • Monitor CBP/TSA requests for completion, status checks, follow-up and escalation
  • Review compliance issues for trends and potential need for systemic process/procedural change
  • Oversee and address any Crew APIS alerts in crew management systems
  • Manage TSA Crew Access program (CMAP) status on the MCL
  • Maintain centralized data/document repository for all Crew APIS and MCL non-compliance issues
  • Able to read and understand technical government documents
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in stressful situations
  • High attention to detail with data entry
  • Ensure adherence to all safety and security regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
  • One (1) year of experience in trending and analyzing data
  • Organized, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong problem identification and solving skills
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of operational processes and procedures 
  • Ability to work independently, with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality
  • Available for overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • One (1) year of operational experience in Crew Services
  • Experience with crew management systems, Crew APIS and/or MCL
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to promote a team environment
  • Data entry experience
  • Experience in regulatory compliance; experience working with CBP, TSA, or the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
  • Ability to work on both team and individual projects
  • Ability to adapt to change and remain mission oriented

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
