Position Summary                                                

The Analyst Training Scheduling supports the Training Scheduling team and JetBlue University by managing systems that support the development of training schedules. The Analyst partners with Schedulers to develop and execute reports to inform decisions related to training daily operations and ensure accuracy of scheduled events and assigned resources. Additionally, the Analyst Training Scheduling is responsible for identifying and implementing process improvements to assist the team with accomplishing daily tasks.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Use various software systems to develop and maintain training schedules
  • Develop and execute reports to audit scheduled events and assigned resources
  • Identify and implement automated solutions for recurring processes related to training scheduling
  • Make real-time adjustments to the training schedule as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience
  • One (1) year of applied experience with analytics and/or scheduling
  • Strong proficiency with Excel and other data analysis tools such as R, SPSS, SAS
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple projects
  • Experience with process documentation and process improvement implementation
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate data manipulation and analysis and Microsoft Excel skills through a work sample
  • Available for overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

 

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience with building and maintaining databases especially using SQL
  • Staffing/Planning/Scheduling work experience – especially using MINT Training Management Software

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
  • Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
