Position Summary
The Analyst Training Planning supports the Training Planning team and JetBlue University by managing systems that support the development of training schedules. The Analyst partners with the team to develop, execute, and improve processes and reports to deliver actionable insights for short-term and long-term training and resource plans. Working under the guidance of Senior Analysts, the Analyst executes bids for future training based on available resource.
Essential Responsibilities
- Assist in development of efficient schedules for all trainees, instructors and other training resources such as classrooms and simulators in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations and company requirements
- Use various software systems to develop and execute training bids in support of building the training schedule
- Identify and implement automated solutions for recurring processes
- Work with users to design processes and reports based on business needs
- Design and build dashboards and reports for teams across the organization
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytic field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience
- One (1) year of applied experience with analytics and databases
- Able to demonstrate analytical skills through the completion of a work sample during the hiring process
- Strong proficiency with Excel and other data analysis tools
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to effectively manage multiple projects
- Experience with process documentation and process improvement implementation
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Available for overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Experience with building and maintaining databases especially using SQL
- Staffing/Planning/Scheduling work experience – especially using MINT Training Management Software
- Experience in the airline industry, with strong knowledge of software systems such as Sabre and FLICA as well as knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations for commercial air carriers

- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
