Position Summary:

The Repairs and Warranty Operations Analyst engages in data collection, analysis, and reporting to support the Component Repairs and Warranty teams through cost savings projects and operational metrics to improve business efficiency and execution. 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collects, analyzes, and presents data to support repair cost savings opportunities and warranty capture.
  • Supports Technical Repair Cost team with cost savings projects and initiatives.
  • Builds presentations showing operational and savings metrics, including historical trend analysis.01
  • Administer JetBlue business partner KPIs regularly and proactively monitor trends that may yield into strategies to mitigate any risks
  • Prepare cost summaries of historical spend.
  • Ensures aircraft parts are repaired cost effectively by JetBlue business partners in accordance with all contract entitlements.
  • Monitors low ownership parts and coordinates with Material Planning to mitigate low stock inventory.
  • Works with Strategic Sourcing to identify alternate repair channels to obtain competitive pricing, including summarized repair information to support sourcing of new contracts.
  • Maintains accurate warranty claim submittal data and reports out regularly to leadership.
  • Coordinates with JetBlue Engineering and Technical Operations management in technical reviews and business partner disputes.
  • Assists with process development projects
  • Assists with expediting parts, obtaining invoice & quote approvals, executing warranty claims, and securing credits.  
  • Runs regular reports on open orders in compliance with internal audit policies.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
  • One (1) year of experience in Aviation, Materials Management, Component and/or Engine Repair Shop, or Warranty Claim Processing
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet modeling and database administration, including applications beyond Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience presenting to an organization’s senior leadership level.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows based programs including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • In possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
  • Available for occasional overnight (up to 10%)
  • Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Aviation Management
  • Two (2) years of experience in coordination of aircraft materials, coordination of aircraft component repairs, coordination of business partner performance and/or warranty claims.
  • Proficiency in reporting using JetBlue’s Maintenance & Engineering system (TRAX)
  • Six Sigma, PMP Certification, or other Continuous Improvement training and certification
  • Financial modeling experience

  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Physical Effort: 

  • Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.  (Light)

Compensation: 

  • The base pay range for this position is between $50,000.00 and $89,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
