Position Summary:
The Technical Operations Analyst is responsible for analyzing key performance metrics to support the continuous improvement of Tech Ops. Reporting to the Director Line Maintenance, this role involves monitoring metrics and contributing to data-driven decision-making. The Analyst will create and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and measurement tools to track performance improvements and assist with strategic planning efforts across technical operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Performance Metrics Monitoring: Track, evaluate, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Data Collection and Reporting: Gather historical data, compile information, and prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. Maintain the dashboards and scorecards to present findings to Tech Ops leadership.
- Trend Analysis and Improvement Recommendations: Assess trends and discrepancies within technical operations and recommend corrective actions and process improvements.
- Tool Development and Automation: Build and maintain Excel tools, macros, and Python scripts to automate data aggregation and analysis, increasing efficiency in report generation and metric tracking.
- Safety and Compliance Reporting: Ensure adherence to safety regulations by supporting data collection for Safety Management Systems (SMS) components and reporting systems (e.g., Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP), Safety Action Report (SAR)).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with business units to gather data, manage projects, and support Tech Ops leadership with strategic business decision-making.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Data Analytics, or other related fields, or equivalent relevant experience
- At least 1 year of experience in an analytical role, with strong skills in Excel (pivot tables, VBA) and experience in programming languages such as Python or R.
- Proficiency in data collection, database management, and data visualization to support strategic maintenance planning.
- Ability to effectively communicate insights and findings through reports and presentations, with strong organizational skills for managing multiple projects.
- Experience in computer software and Microsoft Office suite
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
- Depending on location, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Valid Passport or equivalent travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of work experience in the airline industry
- Expert working knowledge of all areas within Technical Operations
- Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement certifications
- Experience with SQL or Access for advanced data analysis.

- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary, including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.), and Company policies, procedures, and risk controls
- Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
- The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $50,000.00 and $89,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
