Analyst Learning Management System

 

Position Summary

The Analyst, Learning Management System maintains expertise in Learning Management System (LMS) and learning development software technologies and uses that knowledge to effectively deliver online content, troubleshoot challenges with existing technology, and lead and enhance the learning technology offerings at JetBlue. As part of this role, the Analyst, Learning Management System thoughtfully engages internal Customers to determine learner and business needs and makes recommendations for successful technical implementation of learning content.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Acts as an LMS administrator responsible for the user experience of the application (currently SuccessFactors), creation of eLearning content, uploading content, running reports, and troubleshooting end user issues
  • Troubleshoots technical challenges, identifies root causes, makes recommendations, and leads and/or tracks implementation of changes to processes, technology, system/device settings, and more
  • Establishes and documents best practices for content development and LMS administration
  • Consults with training requestors, content developers, and SMEs to determine best technical solutions for requests
  • Keeps abreast of new and developing trends in instructional technologies, applies them to learning initiatives, and creates opportunities to develop others (peers, faculty, SMEs, etc.) in these areas
  • Provides first-, second-, and third-tier technical support to JBU Crewmembers on all learning systems
  • Provides support to JetBlue Crewmembers who experience difficulties while taking synchronous or asynchronous Web- or Computer-based training
  • Leads technical projects and implementations
  • Proactively partners with content developers to make recommendations, share information, and provide training as needed
  • Makes recommendations to leadership on tools, technology, or processes that could better support the success of company goals
  • Works on special projects as assigned
  • Other duties as required

 

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of relevant work experience
  • At least one (1) year experience in LMS administration or similar role
  • At least one  (1) year experience in instructional design, content development, or training field
  • Broad knowledge of LMS platforms/technologies
  • Experience developing training solutions in large variety of tools and technology, which could include, but is not limited to: Articulate Suite (Rise, Studio, Storyline, Replay),Video or graphic design programs including Adobe Creative Suite, Flash, HTML5, Mobile learning solutions (iOS, Android, etc.), or print/materials production
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and SharePoint
  • Expertise with Microsoft Excel
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (20%)
  • Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test 
  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

 

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • At least two (2) years’ experience in LMS administration or similar role
  • At least two  (2) years’ experience in instructional design, content development, or training field
  • Intermediate SQL skills
  • Web development/programming skills (.NET / Java / PHP / etc.)
  • Knowledge of Learning Records System (LRS), Virtual Reality (VR), and Virtual Classroom capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience leading projects and managing stakeholders
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once
  • Agile and flexible to contribute to multiple project types simultaneously
  • Ability to work well with others as part of a team
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing information quickly

 

Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
