Title: Supervisor Dispatch Optimization

Position Summary
The Supervisor Dispatch Optimization is responsible for the oversight and implementation of dispatch optimization initiatives and taking appropriate actions to ensure a safe and efficient operation. The Supervisor coordinates across departments with an emphasis on staying ahead and monitoring the airline’s optimization efforts. The Supervisor will be expected to provide leadership, coaching, and specific instruction to the Dispatchers in order to produce a consistent product towards JetBlue’s optimization goals.
Essential Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively across the organization to identify and define strategic opportunities and threats related to fuel optimization and consumption.
- Assess, develop, and implement planning and operational fuel efficiencies.
- Analyze and implement strategies to seek opportunities in optimizing company routes and procedures to reduce fuel, flight time, and Co2 emissions.
- Work in partnership with Flight Standards, Director Operations, Dispatch Standards, in obtaining OpSpecs, regulatory exemptions and deviations that enhances fuel optimization, alternate, and route planning efficiencies.
- Track and monitor overflight fees and budget and provide supervisory support for ad hoc operational overflight permits.
- Develop and implement robust communication and change strategies that convey strategic objectives to various audiences.
- Partner with Fuel Optimization, Finance, Ops Analysis, and Flight Operation teams on development of long-term sustainability plans and mission.
- Develop metrics and centralized data repository to improve and communicate analytical data to frontline crewmembers and leadership.
- Special project involvement as directed.
- Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support the engagement, growth, and goal achievement.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Three (3) years dispatch part 121 experience
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and team building skills
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, documents, and regulations
- Some technical knowledge of aircraft fuel and operational performance, navigation, and federal and government route structure.
- Ability to think critically and to work under pressure in a team environment
- Detail-oriented and able to follow complex instructions
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and prioritize to meet deadlines
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aircraft Dispatch Certificate or Pilot license
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Prior Supervisory experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience in business strategy and business transformation

- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
- Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
- Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
- Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

Compensation:
- The starting pay for this position is based on your years of experience at JetBlue in a licensed Dispatcher role. The starting pay is $ $76,749, and the pay ranges are in accordance with the dispatch employment agreement. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
