Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Compensation Support Center and Commercial reports to the Director of Compensation and leads compensation strategy and administration for Support Center and Commercial functions, while serving as a key partner on executive compensation, equity administration, and compensation governance. This role partners closely with People Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Legal, Finance, Payroll, and business leaders to deliver market-competitive, compliant, and business-aligned compensation programs. In addition to supporting assigned client groups, this role partners directly with the Director of Compensation on executive compensation analysis, Compensation Committee materials, proxy-related support, equity program governance, and other enterprise-wide compensation initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead compensation strategy and administration for Support Center and Commercial functions in partnership with the People Business Partner team, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders
- Serve as the lead compensation advisor for assigned client groups, including job offers, promotions, lateral moves, market adjustments, reorganizations, and other compensation actions
- Lead all aspects of the year-end compensation planning cycle for assigned populations, including merit, bonus, and equity planning, and partner on enterprise-wide planning activities
- Maintain and help evolve compensation governance, Career Framework infrastructure, and salary structures to ensure pay programs are competitive, equitable, compliant, and aligned with company philosophy
- Lead position evaluations, market pricing, and compensation recommendations for new and existing roles, including oversight of market survey participation and external benchmarking
- Review and approve compensation proposals prepared by analysts, provide guidance on escalated or complex matters, and support the development of analyst-level crewmembers
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pay regulations, including Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) minimum wage, and pay transparency requirements, and proactively address necessary changes
- Partner directly with the Director of Compensation on executive compensation analysis, recommendations, and administration for Director-level and above roles, including support for annual incentive, long-term incentive, and retention programs
- Support the preparation of Compensation Committee materials, proxy-related compensation deliverables, and executive compensation governance activities in partnership with the Director of Compensation and internal/external stakeholders
- Provide oversight and strategic support for equity administration in partnership with the Senior Compensation Analyst, Equity Administration, including equity program governance, reporting, and cross-functional coordination with Legal, Finance, Payroll, and external vendors
- Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources (HR), Finance or a related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
- Six (6) years of prior experience in Compensation
- Three (3) years of previous leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting broad-based compensation programs for professional and management populations in a complex organization
- Demonstrated project management skills in a dynamic operating environment in which there are competing demands on time and resources while providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously and set and manage timelines and priorities
- Ability to apply statistical metrics and execute processes to analyze and measure the effectiveness of programs and initiatives
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of compensation plan design, administration, governance, and market practices
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Ability to work, develop and maintain ongoing relationships with different levels within the organization, including senior leaders
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy
- Knowledge of SharePoint, Outlook and Microsoft Office
- Advanced Excel and compensation modeling / reporting capability
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business or Human Resources
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Certified Equity Professional (CEP), Project Management certification, and/or related compensation or equity coursework
- Strong knowledge of SAP
- Experience supporting executive compensation programs, executive compensation analysis, and/or Compensation Committee materials
- Experience supporting equity administration, stock plan governance, or equity-related reporting
- Experience supporting compensation-related proxy deliverables, including Compensation Discussion & Analysis (CD&A), Compensation Committee materials, and executive compensation disclosures
- One (1) year of experience working on large scale projects or compensation initiatives in an airline role
- Experience with strategic planning, project management, change management, budgeting and/or cost/benefit analysis
- Facilitating presentations in front of large groups, including senior leadership
- Providing high-quality customer service in a matrix structure with a commitment to meeting or exceeding expectations
- Experience working in a publicly traded company environment strongly preferred

- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
- Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
- The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position

Compensation
- The base pay range for this position is between $111,400.00 and $160,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
