Position Summary

The Senior Business Analyst, IT Loyalty provides direct support to the IT Loyalty team in the development, planning, and execution of technology initiatives. The Senior Business Analyst partners closely with Product Managers to lead data analysis efforts that ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) are clearly defined, consistently tracked, and reportable. This includes building models to monitor loyalty technology performance, analyzing the impact of activations and product changes, and producing dashboards and reporting to track key outcomes and reliability metrics. The role also contributes to evolving delivery methods, such as Agile and Modern Delivery, and may support project leadership on smaller, well-defined initiatives. 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop data queries to extract, model, analyze, and summarize large volumes of structured and unstructured data
  • Build and maintain performance models for loyalty technology solutions, track KPIs related to activations and product launches, and report on key business and reliability metrics
  • Create and maintain dashboards and regular performance reporting across loyalty initiatives
  • Conduct detailed data analysis and build automation to identify potential fraud, improve efficiency, and uncover trends
  • Elicit and develop clear, traceable requirements using interviews, document analysis, workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, Epics, use cases, and workflow analysis
  • Critically evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, abstract from low-level data to strategic insights, and distinguish stated requests from true business needs
  • Drive and challenge business units on assumptions, leveraging quantitative and qualitative data
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and subject matter experts to align technical vision with business goals and assess tradeoffs between usability and performance
  • Assist in the development of business cases, integrating financial considerations, resource planning, and data insights to evaluate business impact
  • Ensure approved requirements are developed in sufficient scope and granularity to deliver solutions that meet user needs
  • Proactively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders to gather functional and technical requirements, including architecture, interfaces, security, and continuity planning
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
  • Three (3) years of hands-on data analytics experience
  • Experience building queries across multiple data sets using languages such as (but not limited to) SQL in tools such as Snowflake
  • Experience in performance reporting, dashboard creation, and modeling of KPIs or product activation metrics with tools such as Tableau
  • Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills with the ability to motivate and influence in data-driven environments
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word and Visio
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including the ability to exercise good judgment in frequency and nature of communications to different parties (senior management, stakeholders, team members, etc.)
  • Demonstrated technical and analytic ability through a live work sample during the hiring process
  • Ability to review, consolidate, communicate and reverse-engineer complex technical and systems documentation
  • Working knowledge of risk management and quality assurance standards and methodologies
  • Experience in statistical and other quantitative and qualitative analytical methodologies
  • Experience in the commercial aviation industries with exposure to supporting IT systems and technologies
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)  
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of industry standards in project management and development methodologies (Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF), SEI, Agile Methods, Rational Unified Process (RUP), etc.)
  • Demonstrated analytical and basic project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and demonstrated facilitation skills including the ability to motivate and influence others, and able to foster and contribute to a positive, upbeat team environment
  • Strong customer service ethic and an understanding of how IT is ultimately delivers to the customer
  • High tolerance for working in a dynamic and shifting environment and able to readily embrace and participate in change initiatives
  • Knowledge of technology fundamentals and concepts including Microsoft technologies
  • Ability to work well with others and complete tasks with minimal supervision
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills
  • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)
  • Past experience in anti-fraud analysis, investigations, or cybersecurity

Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))

Compensation:

  • The base pay range for this position is between $90,500.00 and $128,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
