Position Summary

The Senior Analyst WorkLife is responsible for directing and planning the day-to-day operations of group benefit programs, specifically short-term disability, long-term disability, and workers ‘ compensation, leave of absence, and FMLA programs. The Senior Analyst has oversight of financial and service level performance benefit plans and vendor account relationships. They partner with internal stakeholders to optimize engagement, understanding, and utilization of benefit programs.  They also ensure plans are administered per federal and state regulations and that plan provisions are followed.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Administer benefit plans according to policy guidelines and applicable regulations. Serve as the primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators. Assist in the implementation of new benefit leave programs. Act as a liaison with various partners.
  • Manages all time off and leave programs as well as vendor integrations. Reviews and approves bi-weekly payroll for individuals on leave of absence and ensure changes to Crewmember status are updated. Process any adjustments to time off programs as needed.
  • Coordinate STD, LTD, Statutory Leave (State and Federal), and applicable programs with vendors and work sites.
  • Supports communications that strive to enhance Crewmember's understanding of benefits leave programs. Design content for benefit leaves communication resources.
  • Monitors latest industry trends. Review experience data and utilization reports. Examine possible benefit changes and propose recommendations supported with data analysis.
  • Counsel Crewmembers on plan provisions and administrative procedures so that individuals have informed benefit leave decisions. Provides excellent customer service in written and verbal communication to all levels of Crewmembers
  • Analyze data and provide a summary of observations related to leave of absence management- making uses, including identifying trends and/or gaps in the data.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources, OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of High School Diploma/GED and four (4) years of related work experience
  • Three (3) years administrative experience in Human Resources, Benefits
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze a dataset in Excel through an Excel skills test
  • Knowledge of statutory Federal, State, and Local leave laws
  • Knowledge of ADA/ADAAA
  • Proficient with Microsoft office package
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills--able to communicate with all levels of Crewmembers.
  • Must have excellent time management skills and be responsive to requests
  • Ability to meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and be able to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Ability to work within a team professionally and maintain constructive working relationships
  • Must pay strong attention to detail and be able to review, analyze, and audit data
  • Must have strong decision-making and financial skills and be solution-oriented
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

 

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Certification in Crewmember Benefits or Human Resources
  • Five years administrative experience in Human Resources, Benefits
