Title:  Senior Analyst Strategic Sourcing

Position Summary

The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst (IT & Professional Services) is responsible for supporting and leading complex competitive Sourcing events across categories of external third party spend in IT and Professional Services. The Senior Analyst should possess exceptional analytical, project management, and negotiating skills and will work closely with IT team(s) and internal stakeholders across the organization, on the development and management of IT and Professional Services supplier strategies. 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Execute strategic sourcing projects (using standard sourcing methodologies) for a variety of goods and complex service
  • Complete various project activities including (but not limited to): needs assessment, information gathering, stakeholder discussions, RFX drafting, supplier research, negotiations, analysis, and presentation of recommendation/results.
  • Challenge scope of requirements and specification design to ensure robust scope of project
  • Proactively monitor market trends that impact spend category and adapts strategies to mitigate risk
  • Analyze historical spend to assist in the development of supply management and channel strategies
  • Develop category objectives and operational requirements with strong consideration for market conditions and opportunities
  • Perform analysis of category spend to assist in the development of sourcing strategies for the category
  • Partner with stakeholders and legal team in the negotiation of contracts and agreements
  • Identify sourcing opportunities to obtain optimal value for JetBlue and respective business units by estimating cost savings benefits and evaluating strategic sourcing performance metrics (KPIs)
  • Ensure compliance with operational requirements, internal controls and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Three (3) years of strategic sourcing, finance, consulting or equivalent experience
  • Firm grasp of best in class strategic sourcing processes including spend analysis, sourcing strategy development, competitive event planning and execution, and negotiation
  • Strong track record in executing sourcing projects which contribute to a major reduction in cost and/or improvements in efficiency
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (minimum Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Financial, quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong project and relationship management skills, including stakeholder and timeline management and meeting facilitation
  • Have presence and “soft skills” necessary to convince stakeholders to follow a recommended strategy
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Proven category knowledge in IT and Professional Services
  • Relevant experience supporting, or working in, a fast-paced technology organization
  • Demonstrated ability to present information clearly and effectively to company senior leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to draft, interpret and communicate complex contractual documents such as Statements of Work (SOW) and Master Service Agreements (MSA)
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet modeling and data analytics
