Position Title: Senior Analyst Revenue Management – Pricing (Digital Merchandising)

Position Summary

The Senior Analyst Digital Merchandising is an important cross-functional role which will provide Revenue Management support to multiple Commercial Initiatives and report to the Manager Revenue Management - Pricing. The primary responsibility will be to liaise with the Digital Merchandising pod and provide RM expertise, decision-making, and execution. The Digital Merchandising pod will be a fast-paced team which creates and reacts to opportunities in real time and immediately develops and executes merchandising initiatives.

 

The Senior Analyst Digital Merchandising will also work closely to develop and execute promotions and merchandising opportunities in other areas such as JetBlue Vacations and JetBlue’s Friends & Family Deals site.

 

On top of the core responsibilities, this role will work closely with Crewleaders and Analysts in different parts of the organization to ensure broad commercial alignment on local, regional, and national initiatives, and will play a key part in their execution and implementation. This role will also leverage your prior market management experience to tackle higher-level projects/analysis and mentor/train fellow Crewmembers. The ideal candidate will combine previous Revenue Management experience in Pricing and Inventory Management, with a strong business acumen and an entrepreneurial spirit, with a thirst for data and passion for driving results.

Essential Responsibilities

· Plan and execute the Revenue Management actions needed to achieve revenue performance goals for the JetBlue’s Digital Merchandising Pod, JetBlue Vacation promotions, and JetBlue’s Friends & Family Deals site.

· Plan and execute digital merchandising strategies that will meet and exceed sales and margin goals by ensuring the right content is in the right place at the right time for the right segment

· Build test and learn plans for merchandising strategies to improve the digital experience, create value, and improve performance. Analyze the results of these tests to derive insights and implement recommendations to ensure the continuous improvement of sales techniques, and future promotional efforts.

· Serve as the primary cross functional liaison between the JetBlue Revenue Management, JetBlue Marketing & Promotions, and JetBlue Vacations, owning all aspects of the promotional process from strategic initiative planning, offer generation, fare filing, inventory adjustments, and digital platform validation that drive revenue accretive results.

· Proactively identify revenue generating opportunities for JetBlue and JetBlue Vacations, and then implement promotional strategies and tactics that help improve the performance of national, regional, and tactical initiatives of all types.

· Develop and execute plans to grow JetBlue’s Friends & Family Deals site in a manner that is revenue and margin accretive for JetBlue.

· Demonstrate subject matter expertise, as well as advanced technical and analytical skills, through the practical application of Revenue Management theory and best practices.

· Effectively communicate campaign performance metrics and strategic priorities to fellow Crewmembers, RM market owners, and leaders from different areas of the organization to ensure awareness and buy-in of promotional activities and fares.

· Leverage experience and depth of RM knowledge to design and implement tests to drive system-wide revenue improvements and enhance current RM business processes

· Consistently demonstrate leadership by serving as a thought-leader, role model, and go-to resource for other Crewmembers, as well as mentor and train new hires

· Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

· High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)

· At least one (1) year of airline Pricing experience and ability to file fares without oversight

· At least two (2) years of relevant experience in strategic, analytic, or inventory management position (airline preferred)

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as quantitative critical thinking skills

· Demonstrate analytical reasoning with the ability to tackle complex problems

· Strong attention to detail

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word

· Ability to work cross-functionally, collaboratively and under pressure

· Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

· Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

· Two (2) years of experience coding and manipulating fare and rules data in ATPCO (Fares Manager)

· Two (2) years of Inventory Management or other commercial experience

· Two (2) years of analytical quantitative experience

· A proven interest in airlines, aviation, or transportation systems in schooling or prior work experience

· Proficiency in SQL and other database tools

· Regular attendance and punctuality

· Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

· Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

· When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
