Position Title: Senior Analyst, Northeast Alliance

 

Position Summary

The Senior Analyst, Northeast Alliance (NEA) is involved in the range of activities relating to JetBlue’s participation in the Northeast Alliance with American Airlines (NEA). Core activities include analysis and reporting, supporting the Alliance both internally and externally, and project management within the JetBlue organization. The Senor Analyst also supports the forecasting and execution of commercial contracts within the NEA.

 

Essential Responsibilities

· Data Analysis: Leverages data from multiple sources to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis. Helps builds, structure and develop the team’s internal data warehouse to support the forecasting and execution of certain commercial contracts within the NEA.

· Financial and Strategic Analysis: Support the NEA team in forecasting and executing measures of Alliance performance, including in ensuring Customer benefits are realized and achieving appropriate financial benefits.

· Reporting: Designs, automates, enhances, and maintains automated reports and tools. Ensures their dissemination across JetBlue as appropriate and manages internal coordination.

· Project Management: Supports the Manager, NEA is optimizing commercial performance through ad hoc NEA-related projects with internal and external stakeholder groups.

· All other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field

· Three (3) years of analytical experience

· One (1) year business planning, strategy, finance, revenue management, or related work

· Experience in data modeling and reporting

· Available for occasional to frequent overnight travel (up to 10%)

· Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test

· Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

 

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

· Previous airline management experience (particularly finance, strategy, or commercial functions)

· Experienced in relational databases (Access, SQL, etc.); experienced in VBA, Spotfire or Tableau

· Experience with program management and involvement in multi-functional programs

· Experience working organizationally in a matrix-based position

· Regular attendance and punctuality

· Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice

· Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance

· When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

· Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards

· Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
