Position Title: Senior Analyst Contract Specialist 


Position Summary: 

The Senior Analyst, Contract Specialist will work within the Legal Department and is responsible for the oversight and management of corporate level business related agreements and contracts.  The Contract Specialist will interact with legal, procurement, and other stakeholders within the organization to ensure timely and accurate contract preparation and problem resolution.   

Essential Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review and modify routine contracts, including, License Agreements; Contractor Agreements; Purchase Agreements; Service Level Agreements; Services Agreement (ex: Services, Outsourcing, SAAS, Web Related, etc.); Statements of Work; Amendments; Renewals 

  • Negotiate contract terms in conformance with Company contract playbook guidelines 

  • Foster a collaborative relationship with internal stakeholders involved in contract review and negotiation 

  • Work with the strategic sourcing department to provide guidance on contracts received from business partners 

  • Review and analyze existing contractual agreements in response to stakeholder inquiry 

  • Assist in the maintenance of Company contract templates 

  • Use best judgment in escalating non-standard requests to appropriate legal counsel 

  • Other duties as assigned 

Minimum Experience and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • Three (3) years relevant contract analysis experience  

  • Experience utilizing a variety of difference contract types 

  • Strategic collaboration with a client-first mentality 

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the JetBlue organization 

  • Responsive and service-focused in a fast-paced environment  

  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation and organization skills 

  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%) 

  • Able to pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test 

  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located 

Preferred Experience

  • Juris Doctor degree 

  • Prior in-house similar experience 

  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications

  • Regular attendance and punctuality  

  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice 

  • Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance 

  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
