Position Summary:
The Senior Analyst Content Marketing and SEO/GEO is responsible for developing and managing JetBlue’s content marketing strategy with a focus on organic growth and visibility across traditional search (SEO) and emerging generative AI engine optimization (GEO). This role plays a central part in enabling JetBlue’s digital marketing team to deliver scalable, discoverable, and high-performing content across channels.
The Senior Analyst reports into the Manager, E-Commerce Marketing and owns the SEO/GEO roadmap, content architecture and taxonomy design, and optimization of content for both search engines and generative AI platforms. They also support campaign planning, content journey design, and technical content improvements across JetBlue’s digital experience.
The ideal candidate is a content-savvy, insights-driven strategist with a deep understanding of how content, structure, and search behavior intersect. They collaborate closely with stakeholder teams across Product, Design, Marketing, Loyalty, IT, and Engineering, and are equally comfortable leading initiatives or working independently. Essential Responsibilities:
- Own and evolve JetBlue’s SEO and GEO content strategy for landing pages, category pages, and AI-surfaced content
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, SurferSEO) for keyword clustering, content ideation, and AI-ready content formats
- Analyze traffic source mix and optimize for both search engines and AI discovery surfaces
- Develop content optimized for generative search results, including featured snippets, AI summaries, and knowledge panels
- Implement structured data, Q&A formats, and semantically rich copy to improve GEO relevance
- Lead the development of content architecture and taxonomy frameworks for SEO, merchandising, and campaign content
- Define and maintain scalable information architecture (IA) to support product discovery, landing page strategy, and navigation
- Collaborate on content journey mapping to improve internal linking and topical clustering
- Partner with SEO and AI tool vendors to stay ahead of generative AI platform updates
- Collaborate with stakeholders across IT, Digital, Product, Loyalty, and Marketing to align GEO and IA strategies with broader business objectives
- Monitor algorithm updates, AI model shifts, and emerging generative search technologies
- Stay up to date on developments in SEO, generative AI, content architecture, LLM content retrieval, and prompt-based optimization
- Work with analytics and CRO teams to define organic content goals, test plans, and performance benchmarks
- Identify new content opportunities across traditional and generative search channels
- Mentor team members on GEO/SEO trends, content modeling, and best practices for optimizing discoverability

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

- Three (3) years of hands-on experience in SEO, content marketing, or digital content architecture in a B2C or e-commerce environment
- Familiarity with emerging trends in generative AI, large language models (LLMs), and AI-generated search experiences
- Demonstrated experience in structuring and maintaining content taxonomies and scalable IA systems
- Proven experience with SEO tools (GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush) and awareness of tools exploring AI SERP behavior (e.g., SGE monitors, schema validators)
- Strong knowledge of schema markup, programmatic SEO, and content design principles
- Strong editorial and analytical skills, with a track record of building performance-driven content strategies
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with product, UX/design, content, and engineering teams
- Strong team player with the ability to take initiative and work well independently
- High attention to detail with the ability to think critically
- Effective written, verbal and presentation skills
- Available for overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Five (5) or more years in advanced SEO, content marketing strategy, or content architecture roles
- Experience building scalable content models in enterprise CMS environments
- Direct experience working on Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies or AI-first content planning
- Experience supporting search UX, site navigation redesigns, or IA testing projects
- Background in optimizing content for travel, booking, or decision-support platforms powered by AI assistants

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $66,000.00 and $103,100.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more
