Title:  Senior Analyst CEX Performance

Position Summary:

The Senior Analyst CEX Performance & Quality Analytics supports Airports and Inflight (CEX) Performance & Quality Programs and is the main point of contact and SME for the organization on matters relating to CEX performance data collection, warehousing, reporting and technology. The Senior Analyst manages the software and supports management of intranet sites, data for quality programs, and dashboards. The Senior Analyst also monitors and identifies data for analysis that is of a systemic nature and/or spread across more than one functional area organizationally and is beyond the day to day operational data. Finally, the Senior Analyst coordinates with JetBlue business partners to ensure and promote continuous development of software functionality and usability and to troubleshoot errors.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and maintain the CEX Performance & Quality software platforms for better effectiveness and efficiency
  • Manage monitors, updates, maintains, develops) the data systems, analysis and distribution system for several quality programs and data streams.
  • Develop and employ technological solutions to automate the collection, analysis, reporting, and integration of data
  • Work with Customer and System Analytic Team to develop and maintain data systems
  • Integrate information from other operating areas with CEX Performance data
  • Develop organizational metrics for CEX Performance & Quality
  • Perform special statistical studies on systemic or organizational matters
  • Perform special projects to align groups’ processes to effective ways of organizing data and producing reports
  • Act as a liaison with JetBlue IT teams and external business partners to develop and resolve software problems and ensure the successful execution of data systems
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in aviation management, database management, or related field
  • Two (2) years relevant work experience with emphasis on aviation management, statistical analysis, and/or project management
  • Two (2) years’ experience with database programming
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to quickly learn new software through training and self-study
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in statistics, mathematics, or computer science
  • Proficiency with relational database management systems programming (SQL, Oracle, etc.)
  • Proficiency with statistics and statistical programming (R, Python, SAS, etc.)
  • Proficiency with content management systems such as SharePoint, Qualtrics and AQD
  • Proficiency with business intelligence tools (SAP BusinessObjects, Spotfire, Tableau, SSRS, etc.)
  • Proficiency with mark-up languages such as XML and HTML
  • Experience setting up and executing data analyses and studies
  • Ability to work effectively with professionals from diverse technical areas
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with other teams within and outside of JetBlue
  • Publishing or article writing experience
  • Working knowledge of regulations and industry trends governing commercial aviation safety, security, environmental, and employee health and safety
  • Working knowledge of descriptive statistics and applied research method

  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) and Safety Action Report (SAR))
  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls 
  • Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
