Title:  Senior Accountant

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant supports and facilitates the U.S. and foreign passenger tax compliance and accounting functions. The Senior Accountant ensures the company meets its passenger tax compliance obligations by virtue of timely tax return filings and payments, in addition to reconciliation and analysis of corresponding general ledger accounts.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Gather and review data for U.S. and foreign passenger tax returns and payments
  • Prepare reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and review tax accruals and update forecast as needed
  • Meet deadlines, including filing due dates and monthly financial reporting
  • Assist with and facilitate audits by tax authorities and internal/external financial audits
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and internal controls are maintained
  • Engage and maintain positive and effective work relationships with both internal and external business partners
  • Assist with special requests and projects
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance
  • Three (3) years of accounting experience
  • Experience with database applications, ERP systems and the Microsoft Office including spreadsheet expertise
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Strong analytical, interpretive and problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Capable of working independently and in a team environment
  • Detail oriented
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • SAP Experience
  • Business Intelligence Reporting
  • CPA or CPA candidate
  • MBA or MS in Accounting or Finance
