Position Title: Project Manager, Sourcing Operations and Analytics 

 

Position Summary:

The Project Manager, Sourcing Operations and Analytics, is responsible for supporting three key strategic initiatives across JetBlue’s Strategic Sourcing organization: managing procurement operations services, maintaining spend analytics, as well as JetBlue’s business partner diversity program. The Project Manager will operate with a high level of autonomy in these categories leveraging their experience to drive deliverables. This role will be supported by the Manager, Corporate Services Sourcing.

 

The Project Manager is expected to split their time as follows:

  • 50% Procurement Ops & Business Partner Team Management
  • 25% Spend Analytics
  • 25% Supplier / Business Partner Diversity Program

 

The Project Manager enjoys interacting with crewmembers within Strategic Sourcing and across JetBlue in order to successfully execute key initiatives as part of building out a best-in-class Sourcing organization. Key internal stakeholders include the Strategic Sourcing, Data Analytics, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) teams. Externally, the Project Manager will be in charge of managing a team of outsourced procurement analysts. The Project Manager will measure the business partner’s performance based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Additionally, the Project Manager will serve as JetBlue’s representative at external events related to business partner diversity.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Actively manage Procurement Ops Managed Service and serve as single point of contact liaison with business partner
  • Support Procurement Ops in troubleshooting day-to-day Procurement issues and supporting stakeholders in PO creation, including by redirecting inquiries to outsourced team
  • Develop and implement strategies to increase compliance with current Procurement processes (e.g., PO compliance, receipt confirmation, etc.)
  • Identify best-in-class Procurement Ops tools and platforms while identifying opportunities to implement these tools and platforms at JetBlue
  • Track Business Partner spend initiatives using best-in-class tools, including Snowflake & Tableau
  • Maintain existing Tableau spend dashboard(s), develop new reporting functionality, and ensure data is consistently up-to-date
  • Partner with Strategic Sourcing leadership to identify and report on key spend trends
  • Own key Sourcing tools, such as Ariba, Workday Strategic Sourcing (formerly: ScoutRFP), Adobe Sign, and Supplier.IO
  • Work with stakeholders across JetBlue (incl. Strategic Sourcing, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and business stakeholder teams) to report on and further develop JetBlue’s Business Partner Diversity programs
  • Identify areas of opportunity within JetBlue for additional diverse Business Partner spend & ensure current practices and policies are upheld
  • Deliver regular reports to senior leaders, including the CFO & VP, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, on the status of Business Partner Diversity programs
  • Manage compliance reporting for internal or external (such as federal government) reporting on supplier diversity
  • Represent JetBlue at Business Partner Diversity and serve as liaison with industry groups, including NMSDC and WBENC
  • Stay up to date on Business Partner Diversity best practices and develop roadmap to implement at JetBlue
  • Ensures compliance with operational requirements, internal controls and regulations
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • Three (3) years of strategic sourcing, procurement ops or equivalent experience
  • Solid financial and analytical skills, to include financial planning and forecasting
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (minimum Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
  • Strong project and relationship management skills, including stakeholder and timeline management and meeting facilitation
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience managing outsourced suppliers
  • Relevant experience managing spend analytics
  • Relevant experience with Supplier Diversity Initiatives
  • Relevant experience in aviation or a similar industry
  • Understanding and proficiency in Tableau & Snowflake
  • Demonstrated ability to present information clearly and effectively to company senior leadership
  • Experience with Source to Pay technology platforms, including Ariba

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Compensation:

  • The base pay range for this position is between $75,000 and $110,000. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
