Title: Manager of Engine Procurement Programs

Position Summary:
The Manager Engine Procurement Programs reports to the Senior Manager of Engine Programs and is responsible for the preparation, recommendation, and execution of strategic projects and commercial transactions involving engine maintenance. The Manager is also responsible for setting commercial strategy and representing Technical Operations during engine platform selections, engine sales and spare engine purchases. The role involves working closely with JetBlue Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, Legal, Corporate Finance, Manager Engine Program Operations and Treasury, among other groups.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Set the commercial strategy for existing and future engine maintenance programs
- Assist in the development of a long-term engine portfolio strategy, working alongside JetBlue’s Structural Programs and Technical Operations groups
- Manage engine maintenance projects and transactions involving procurement or sale of spare engines
- Conduct analysis on, and present recommendations to executive leadership for all engine platforms
- Assist engine heavy maintenance engineers with commercial transactions and disputes arising from existing engine maintenance contracts and agreements
- Facilitate, prepare and conduct negotiations on existing and future engine maintenance agreements
- Lead cross functional teams consisting of members from Tech Ops Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, Legal, Finance and Accounting
- Maintain relationships with existing and potential future business partners, including engine manufacturers and engine maintenance providers
- Support Financial Planning and Analysis, Technical Operations and Treasury with financial modeling
- Embrace and apply artificial intelligence (AI) tools and emerging technologies to enhance procurement processes, improve analytical capability, increase departmental efficiency, and support the continued advancement of Engine Programs.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience
- Five (5) years of aviation finance and/or aviation maintenance experience
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Strong analytical and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written interaction to effectively manage project communications and stakeholder expectations at all levels of the organization including executive leadership
- Experience leading small to medium sized teams
- Strong attention to detail
- Available for occasional overnight travel (20%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Business (incl. Accounting, Economics and Finance) or Engineering
- Six (6) years of aviation finance and/or aviation maintenance experience
- Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
- Knowledgeable in aviation maintenance contracts and expense structures
- Experience in negotiating and managing aviation maintenance contracts
- Specific experience with engine maintenance, engine manuals and documentation
- Experience with project management cross functional teams

- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
- Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $103,000.00 and $170,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
