Position Summary:
The Manager, Modern Retailing and New Distribution Capability (NDC) Technology, is responsible for leading the product management, delivery, and ongoing evolution of JetBlue's airline retailing technology platforms focused on airline distribution and indirect channels. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Commercial Technology, this role owns the technology roadmap for JetBlue's NDC platform and Offer capabilities while partnering across Technology and Commercial organizations to deliver modern retailing solutions that enhance the customer experience, expand distribution capabilities and support JetBlue’s commercial strategy.
This role leads a specialized team responsible for product management, platform support, operational excellence, and continuous improvement of JetBlue's NDC and modern retailing technology ecosystem. Working closely with Commercial and Crewmember Technology, Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Revenue Management, Sales and Distribution, Digital, Customer Support, and strategic external technology partners, the Manager ensures retailing capabilities are delivered reliably while helping shape JetBlue's long-term evolution toward Offer, Order, Settle, and Deliver (OOSD) capabilities and modern airline retailing.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Own the technology product roadmap, lifecycle, and continuous improvement of JetBlue's NDC platform and supporting Offer capabilities.
- Lead the planning, prioritization, and successful delivery of retailing technology initiatives in partnership with Engineering teams and business stakeholders.
- Partner with Commercial, Revenue Management, Sales, Digital, Customer Support, and other Technology teams to understand business needs, define product priorities, and deliver scalable technology solutions.
- Ensure the successful implementation, operational stability, and ongoing enhancement of NDC capabilities, supporting JetBlue's retailing and distribution objectives and adoption.
- Drive continuous improvement of Offer management capabilities, including merchandising, ancillary retailing, distribution, servicing capabilities and partner enablement.
- Contribute to JetBlue's long-term retailing strategy by helping define technology roadmaps supporting future Offer Management, Order Management, and broader OOSD capabilities as the industry continues to evolve.
- Partner with airline distribution partners, technology partners, and commercial stakeholders to support partner onboarding, certification, implementation, testing, and production readiness for NDC-enabled capabilities.
- Build strong working relationships with strategic technology partners, providing day-to-day product leadership, governance, and domain expertise to support successful solution delivery.
- Lead technology discovery, requirements definition, backlog prioritization, and release planning for NDC retailing technology products.
- Partner with Enterprise Architecture to align retailing technology solutions with enterprise technology standards, API strategies, integration patterns, cloud architecture, and long-term architectural direction.
- Build strong working relationships with strategic technology business partners, providing day-to-day product leadership and domain expertise to support successful solution delivery.
- Establish and monitor product health metrics, operational performance, platform adoption, and key business outcomes to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Lead incident response, production support, root cause analysis, and operational improvement efforts for supported retailing platforms.
- Ensure technology solutions meet security, compliance, availability, and operational support requirements.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team responsible for product management and operational support of JetBlue's modern retailing technology platforms.
- Foster a collaborative, customer-focused, and continuously improving team culture.
- Establish clear priorities and align team objectives with Technology and Commercial organizational goals.
- Promote Agile product management practices and effective collaboration across cross-functional delivery teams.
- Serve as the Technology subject matter expert for NDC and modern airline retailing capabilities, representing the domain across Technology initiatives and cross-functional planning efforts.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
- Five (5) years related experience delivering technology solutions supporting Passenger Service Systems (PSS), commercial, digital, eCommerce, or airline distribution or retailing technology platforms.
- Two (2) years supervisory/management experience
- Experience leading technology product management or application management functions.
- Experience managing technology projects or product roadmaps in Waterfall and Agile environments.
- Experience leading or developing technical or functional teams.
- Experience partnering with business stakeholders to translate business objectives into technology solutions.
- Strong understanding of system integrations, APIs, and enterprise application ecosystems.
- Strong technology product management and roadmap development skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with operational execution.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies and product management practices.
- Ability to build trusted relationships across Technology, Commercial, and external partner organizations.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Experience within the airline, travel, or hospitality industry.
- Experience supporting IATA NDC implementations or airline distribution technologies.
- Familiarity with airline Offer Management, merchandising, ancillary retailing, or digital commerce capabilities.
- Working knowledge of IATA Modern Airline Retailing concepts, including Offers and future Order Management capabilities.
- Experience working with PSS, distribution platforms, retailing business partners, or commercial technology solutions.
- Experience working with cloud-based platforms, APIs, and modern integration architectures.
- Experience managing a budget and developing business cases
- Experience managing a full project or initiative, including presenting recommendations to senior leadership

- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $118,800.00 and $177,100.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
