Position Title: Manager, Fleet Strategy & Analysis (LSC)
Position Summary
The Manager, Fleet Strategy & Analysis is responsible for the analysis, recommendation, negotiation, and execution of fleet related strategic projects and transactions including aircraft and engine purchases, sales and leases. The Manager leads a small team that works collaboratively with financial planning and analysis, corporate finance & treasury, network planning, legal, operational engineering, fleet programs and technical operations to build a holistic fleet plan to align with the corporate growth strategy.
Essential Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis and present recommendations to executive leadership for all aircraft programs functions including leasing, purchasing, dispositions, and other ad hoc fleet programs initiatives
- Lead the financial modeling and analysis of all fleet related transactions with a cross functional team
- Negotiate and document aircraft leases, lease extensions, aircraft and engine orders and sales
- Maintain relationships with aircraft and engine manufacturers and aircraft lessors
- Analyze operational performance and capabilities of various fleet types
- Manage and administer all fleet related contracts
- Manage the corporate capital expenditures forecast
- Partner with Corporate Finance on ownership analysis and capital considerations
- Assist with aircraft delivery and closing process
- Champion sustainable long term structural costs and assist with corporate growth strategy as it relates to our fleet
- Develop crewmembers into key assets and support their continued growth
- Support Financial Planning and Analysis, Technical Operations and Treasury with long and short term financial modeling
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Business, Finance, Economics, Aerospace Engineering; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience
- Five (5) years of aviation finance and/or fleet management experience
- Experience leading contract negotiations from start to finish
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Strong analytical and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication including interactions with executive leadership
- Experience project managing cross functional teams to deliver results
- Strong attention to detail
- Available for occasional overnight travel (15%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- MBA, CFA, or other advanced Financial or Engineering degree
- Previous aviation fleet management experience (OEM, lessor or airline)
- Knowledgeable in technical operations maintenance contracts and expenses

- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue’s Safety Management System

- Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
- Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
- The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $114,000.00 and $170,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
