Position Summary:
The Manager, Distribution Strategy develops and executes JetBlue’s commercial distribution strategy to ensure that JetBlue’s products are effectively and efficiently sold across all channels. The Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, improving channel profitability, and enhancing the customer and agency experience in how JetBlue’s fares, ancillaries, and bundles are distributed. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of airline distribution dynamics, a commercial mindset, and the ability to navigate industry developments while engaging with internal and external stakeholders to drive revenue growth and operational efficiencies.
This Crewmember partners closely with Revenue Management, Sales, Digital Commerce, Finance, and Technology to deliver strategic initiatives that strengthen JetBlue’s commercial performance and competitive position in the marketplace.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of JetBlue’s multi-channel distribution strategy in support of commercial and revenue goals
- Evaluate, support and help implement new distribution models and technologies, including NDC and other retailing capabilities
- Partner with Sales and Revenue Management to ensure fare products, ancillaries, and bundles are optimally displayed and distributed across channels
- Partner with marketing to ensure marketing spend on third party channels aligns with commercial strategy
- Manage commercial relationships with GDS, OTA, and key agency partners to ensure effective collaboration and mutual value creation
- Analyze and report on distribution channel performance, including revenue contribution, cost of sale, and customer segment mix
- Build and maintain financial models to assess the impact of distribution decisions on revenue and profitability
- Identify and execute strategies to improve channel efficiency and shift demand toward lower-cost, higher-value channels
- Support contract negotiations and partner performance management with external distribution partners
- Monitor industry trends and competitive actions to inform JetBlue’s distribution and retailing strategy
- Prepare presentations and recommendations for senior leadership
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Aviation Management or a relevant field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
- Five (5) years of professional experience in airline distribution or revenue management disciplines
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
- In possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
- Able to work flexible hours and be available for an emergency response on short notice
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of airline distribution, including NDC, GDS, and direct-connect strategies.
- Experience working in a commercial airline function such as Sales, Revenue Management, or Distribution.
- Ability to navigate complex industry landscapes and advocate for commercial improvements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on revenue impact and operational efficiency.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills for managing external partners and internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the airline industry.

- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue’s Safety Management System

- Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
- Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
- The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

Compensation
- The base pay range for this position is between $81,000.00 and $136,200.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
