Title: Manager Dispatch Support

Position Summary
The Manager Dispatch Support is responsible for the efficient operation and deployment of IT systems utilized by the dispatch department including the flight planning system. The Manager acts as the primary interface with internal and external stakeholders for the Dispatch department. The Manager is responsible for finding efficiencies in operational processes and works with Dispatch standards, System Operations, Operations Engineering, Flight Operations, and other departments on implementing those efficiencies.
Cross training in other SOC leadership roles is a requirement of this position including knowledge and execution as Manager on Duty System Operations Center, Duty Director Systems Operations, and Incident Commander during crisis management.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintains flightkeys, Aircom, and other related systems
- Implement system upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting
- Updates navigational data loads and ensures data accuracy.
- Coordinate roadmap development for dispatch current and future systems
- Special project involvement as directed
- Maintain Dispatcher currency
- Support Business Continuity & Emergency Response during drills, live events, and crisis management team (CMT) activation
- Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support engagement, growth, and goal achievement
- Support JetBlue’s safety management system through participation in the safety risk working group, ASAP ERC, Regulatory Compliance, and other programs
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aircraft Dispatcher Certificate
- Successfully complete JetBlue Airways Dispatch Training Program
- Five (5) years airline dispatch experience
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Knowledge of IT system architecture
- Ability to identify operational efficiencies and deploy through system performance
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, documents, and regulations
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think critically and to work under pressure in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Available for occasional overnight travel (25%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Two (2) years’ experience with enterprise operational systems including flight planning, load planning, and ACARS
- Two (2) years of direct management and leadership experience

- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Identify safety and security concerns, issues, incidents, or hazards that should be reported
and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR)) - Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures, and risk controls
- Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring crewmembers have requisite training, resources and support to achieve safety objectives
- The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

Compensation
- The base pay range for this position is between $120,000.00 and $170,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
