Title: Manager Compensation

Position Summary
The Manager Compensation reports to the Director of Compensation and is responsible for managing select Compensation Pay Reviews, select work group Compensation Pay Scale Reviews, and other ad hoc projects. This position proactively partners with crewleaders and crewmembers to provide strategic support and advice to ensure our Compensation programs attract talent and reward crewmember performance.
Essential Responsibilities
- Manage and conduct select Compensation Pay Reviews for our salaried crewmembers in partnership with Senior Leaders to ensure we have a solid foundation to recruit, retain and reward our crewmembers
- Conduct select work group Compensation Pay Scale Reviews in partnership with Senior Leaders, Values Committees and other frontline crewmembers to ensure a solid foundation to recruit, retain and reward our non-salaried crewmembers
- Manage and administer the annual compensation planning program
- Analyze data from market surveys and other sources to develop pay recommendations, and executive summaries informing crewleaders and crewmembers of the compensation market trends
- Manage job evaluations and global grading initiatives and processes to ensure that jobs are graded correctly and consistently across departments, and are paid commensurate to its scope and responsibilities
- Analyze salary data and market trends from market surveys and other sources, and recommend changes or updates to internal pay bands to effectively attract and retain talent
- Responsible for implementing and overseeing third party Pay Equity tool and initiatives, and summarizing findings for leadership review
- Track key issues, practices and trends in compensation, by participating in industry groups, conducting benchmarking studies, and gathering market intelligence from internal and external sources
- Review and assist in administering compensation policies and procedures consistent with the company strategy and budgetary guidelines while maintaining an awareness of regulatory changes
- Design, refine and implement workgroup pay for performance programs
- Help develop and deliver communication and training to ensure we foster positive change in implementation and support for our Total Rewards programs
- Responsible for enterprise dashboard, comprehensive review of all Vacation/Holiday/PTO, Training Pay, etc.
- Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support their engagement, growth, and goal achievement
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance or a related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of prior experience in Compensation
- Three (3) years of previous leadership experience
- Demonstrated project management skills in a dynamic operating environment in which there are competing demands on time and resources while providing exceptional customer service
- Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously and set and manage timelines and priorities
- Ability to apply statistical metrics and execute processes to analyze and measure the effectiveness of programs and initiatives
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of corporate compensation plan design, administration, and practices
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy of work
- Ability to work, develop and maintain ongoing relationships with different levels within the organization
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy
- Knowledge of SharePoint, Outlook and Microsoft Office
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business or Human Resources
- Project Management Certification and/or courses
- Strong knowledge of SAP
- One (1) year of experience working on large scale projects or compensation initiatives in an airline role
- Experience with strategic planning, project management, change management, budgeting and/or cost/benefit analysis
- Facilitating presentations in front of large groups, including senior leadership
- Providing high-quality customer service in a matrix structure with a commitment to meeting or exceeding expectations

- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
- Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
- The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

Compensation
- The base pay range for this position is between $100,000.00 and $136,200.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
