Position Title: General Manager Finance Transformation

Position Summary

The General Manager Finance Transformation is responsible for leading business process analysis, cost and cycle time analysis/remediation, and the communication and change management required to ensure success. This role focuses on Finance Process Optimization changes that achieve necessary business transformation.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Partner with finance leaders to understand goals and business support objectives
  • Map out key finance processes and cycle times
  • Develop deep knowledge of current technology solutions and future roadmaps/enhancements
  • Partner with IT and Finance teams to agree finance data strategy (collection and storage)
  • Drive plan to Standardize and automate reports. Design report visualization strategy
  • Align with IT on visualization tool. Develop comprehensive deployment/training plan across finance teams
  • Set and deploy specific FT goals (FTEs, Cost, cycle times)
  • Work Cross Functionally to minimize change management impact across the organization
  • Refine and report finance KPI’s to measure achievement of goals
  • Oversee training of crewmembers on continuous improvement principles.
  • Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support the engagement, growth, goal achievement by establishing clear performance expectations and accountability for Crewmembers
  • Other duties as assigned  

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Graduate Degree Business Degree; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant experience
  • Seven (7) years of Finance experience across key finance areas
  • Five (5) years of experience in a leadership/management role
  • Experience driving process improvement
  • Basic finance system knowledge (SAP, BPC,etc.)
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional projects
  • Experience building reports in SQL, Power BI, or similar business intelligence tool
  • Available for overnight travel (up to 10%)
  • Able to work flexible hours and be available for an emergency response on short notice
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience across key finance areas including Accounting, FP&A, and Sourcing
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue’s Safety Management System

  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
  • Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

  • Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently.

Compensation: 

  • The base pay range for this position is between $111,400.00 and $156,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include performance bonuses, restricted stock units, as well as access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
