Position Summary
The Engineer – Platform Services & Data Center is responsible for the engineering, implementation, modernization, and operational support of JetBlue’s core platform infrastructure. The role provides technical support across Windows operating systems, Active Directory infrastructure, Infoblox DNS/DHCP/IPAM, Microsoft, Rubrik backup and recovery, enterprise reporting, and data center services. The engineer develops automation, operational dashboards, and monitoring solutions while partnering with Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Network, and Application teams to deliver secure, resilient, and highly available platform services. This role supports platform initiatives, contributes to automation and operational improvements, and partners with senior engineers to deliver secure, resilient, and highly available platform services.
Essential Responsibilities
- Engineer and support enterprise Windows server infrastructure.
- Maintain Active Directory infrastructure, including Domain Controllers, replication, Sites and Services, FSMO roles, Global Catalogs, and Group Policy infrastructure.
- Engineer, administer, and support Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
- Support Rubrik backup, cyber recovery, and disaster recovery platforms.
- Develop automation using PowerShell or similar scripting languages.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for platform health, compliance, capacity, and operational KPIs.
- Build and maintain Splunk dashboards, searches, alerts, and operational reports.
- Support infrastructure upgrades, operating system lifecycle management, and modernization initiatives.
- Support infrastructure projects and serve as a technical escalation point.
- Contribute to engineering standards and maintain technical documentation.
- Partner with Infrastructure, Network, Cloud, Cybersecurity, and Application teams.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and recovery exercises.
- Support vulnerability remediation, platform hardening, change management, and on-call support.
- Support on Nutanix virtual machine deployment and integration as needed.
- Support engineering, testing, and development activities using enterprise virtualization tools.
- Support Azure Virtual Machines and automate administrative tasks using Azure CLI.
- Develop automation scripts for system administration and troubleshooting.
- Administer and support enterprise Windows server environments.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance windows and emergency remediation activities as required.
- Administer and support enterprise Windows server patching and operating system lifecycle management.
- Monitor platform compliance, remediate configuration drift, and support audit and security compliance initiatives.
- Support ServiceNow Change Management processes for platform maintenance, patching, and infrastructure changes.
- Develop compliance and patch status reporting using Power BI, Splunk, or similar reporting tools.
- Coordinate monthly Windows server patching activities and validate successful deployment across enterprise environments.
- Remediate operating system vulnerabilities and partner with Cybersecurity teams to maintain compliance with enterprise security standards.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
- Three (3) years of experience supporting enterprise Windows infrastructure in a large-scale production environment.
- Three (3) years of experience in a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Platform Engineer, or equivalent technical role.
- Demonstrated experience engineering and supporting Microsoft Windows Server platforms.
- Demonstrated experience administering Microsoft Windows Server platforms.
- Experience supporting Active Directory infrastructure, including Domain Controllers, replication, Sites and Services, Group Policy, Global Catalogs, and FSMO roles.
- Experience administering Infoblox DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM).
- Experience administering Microsoft Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), certificate services, DFS Namespaces, and DFS Replication.
- Experience supporting enterprise backup, cyber recovery, and disaster recovery platforms, preferably Rubrik.
- Experience developing infrastructure automation using PowerShell.
- Experience supporting enterprise virtualization and cloud-hosted server environments.
- Experience developing operational dashboards and reporting using Power BI, Splunk, or similar enterprise reporting platforms.
- Experience troubleshooting complex enterprise infrastructure issues across Windows, networking, and platform services.
- Experience participating in infrastructure projects, system upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives while maintaining high levels of operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to contribute to technical knowledge sharing and documentation.
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support for critical production systems.
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)

Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments with 5,000+ endpoints and mission-critical infrastructure.
- Experience administering Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including Azure Virtual Machines.
- Experience developing automation using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
- Experience administering Microsoft Windows Server in enterprise environments.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and Windows troubleshooting.
- Experience administering enterprise Windows virtual machines.
- Operational familiarity with enterprise virtualization platforms.
- Conceptual familiarity with Nutanix virtual machine deployment and enterprise virtualization platforms.
- Experience administering Microsoft PKI and enterprise certificate lifecycle management.
- Experience administering enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM) solutions, preferably Infoblox.
- Experience supporting Active Directory infrastructure, including Domain Controllers, replication, Group Policy, Sites and Services, and hybrid infrastructure.
- Experience administering enterprise backup, cyber recovery, and disaster recovery platforms, preferably Rubrik.
- Experience developing Power BI dashboards and executive operational reporting.
- Experience developing Splunk dashboards, searches, alerts, reports, and operational analytics.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring platforms such as Microsoft SCOM.
- Experience with ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM), including Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
- Experience supporting enterprise data center operations, disaster recovery testing, and business continuity planning.
- Experience supporting infrastructure modernization, operating system lifecycle management, and technology refresh initiatives.
- Experience in developing technical standards, operational procedures, and engineering documentation.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.
- Experience with Microsoft Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) or equivalent enterprise patch management solutions.
- Experience supporting vulnerability remediation and compliance initiatives in enterprise Windows environments.
- Experience producing Windows patch compliance metrics and executive reporting.
- Microsoft, Infoblox, Azure, Splunk, ITIL, and other relevant industry certifications are preferred.

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $100,000.00 and $128,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
