Title: Engine Repairs Account Representative

Position Summary
The Engine Repairs Account Representative coordinates activities related to Engine and APU repairs engine leasing. The Account Representative monitors Business Partner commercial performance for repair of JetBlue Engines and APUs and other engine strategy related activities. This position ensures Engines and APUs adhere to high-quality standards, establish Business Partner accountability, and supports the achievement of JetBlue’s CASM goals. As part of Business Partner management, the Account Representative analyzes data, identifies performance and warranty issues, and implements corrective action plans with the Business Partner. The Engine Repairs Account Representative executes special requirements to support and develop engine maintenance and procurement strategies, including engine repairs, leases, exchanges, sales and acquisitions.
Essential Responsibilities
- Ensures Engines and APUs are routed to Business Partners and repaired within agreed turnaround time and other contractual terms
- Monitors stock levels and ensures low stock items required for Powerplant repair are prioritized
- Coordinates material movement to support engines in shop
- Reviews Business Partner inventory to support audit compliance
- Reviews and negotiates repair, modification, and overhaul cost quotes
- Ensures compliance of the repair process with internal controls and the JetBlue General Maintenance Manual (GMM)
- Oversee the full lifecycle of lease engines, including onboarding, on-wing tracking, invoice reviews and redeliveries
- Coordinates with Business Partners and internal stakeholders all activities involving loan and lease Engine and APU procurement and onboarding
- Submits monthly lease utilization usage reports to lessors
- Coordinates with Business Partners to investigate and resolve discrepancies in technical records, Quality Control inquiries, and Powerplant Maintenance documentation issues
- Coordinates engine redeliveries with Business Partners and internal stakeholders, and consolidates and shares technical records to Business Partners
- Responds to requests from JetBlue stakeholders regarding engine repair issues, warranty claims, safety investigations, lease monitoring and Powerplant damage (FOD/DOD) events
- Performs invoice review for accuracy and compliance with agreement terms, conditions, and pricing
- Supports the QA approval process to establish new Business partner maintenance facilities
- Supports cost savings initiatives to reduce JetBlue CASM
- Support all aspects of JetBlue Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program (CAMP)
- Ensure adherence to all aspects of JetBlue JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) and CAMP
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Three (3) years aviation related experience
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills
- Available for occasional overnight (up to 20%)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office based programs including Outlook, Word and Excel, Powerpoint
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- In possession of valid travel document with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
- Depending on location, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance
- Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Aviation, Powerplant, Structures, Avionics, or Electronics
- Two (2) years of experience in aircraft supply chain processes or experience in reviewing aircraft technical documentation
- Familiarity with Maintenance & Engineering database (such as TRAX)
- Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate and/or FCC license

- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be availability to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position starts at $68,626.00. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
