Position Summary

The Revenue Analytics and Ancillaries Director leads multiple teams, maximizing revenue performance by providing analytical insights and business intelligence, robust modelling, and optimization of flight driven ancillaries. This role has an integral position in the day-to-day and long term strategic decision making by working closely with matrix partners across the entire company.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Succinctly tell the revenue story to a wide range of audiences, including Senior Leadership, ensuring digestibility of the information while using automation and BI tools to harness the power of diverse datasets
  • Produce flight revenue forecasts at multiple hierarchical levels, including annual budget, deep rolling three month outlook, and long term strategic planning
  • Continually monitor the overall revenue health and booking trends in order to provide insight to a variety of stakeholders
  • Solve complex analytical questions and model potential revenue accretive opportunities by collating multiple data sources to gain statistical inferences
  • Optimize price points and forecast revenue streams for seats, baggage, and change fees worth over $1B annually.
  • Continually assess and evolve JetBlue’s Fare Option product offerings and pricing. Design and lead implementation of enhancements as needed.
  • Collaborate with all stakeholders to ensure visibility on forecasts & ranges to accurately produce and track external quarterly guidance
  • Partner with Pricing and Yield Management teams to measure the effectiveness of actions
  • Support commercial analytics of other teams including Marketing, Loyalty, Partnerships, Product, Accounting and Finance
  • Oversee JetBlue’s Revenue Integrity Robotics and Systems Automation Processes and analyze ticketing time limits, no show rates, and churning patterns to minimize revenue spoilage
  • Oversee submission of critical reports to external business partners such as the DOT and A4A
  • Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support the engagement, growth, goal achievement by establishing clear performance expectations and accountability for Crewmembers, and lead daily Crewmember coaching sessions
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant experience
  • Seven (7) years of pricing and/or revenue management experience or relevant field
  • Three (3) years of direct management and leadership experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Project management experience
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • In possession of valid travel document with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
  • Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

 

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research or related field
  • Ten (10) years of pricing and/or revenue management experience or relevant field
  • Five (5) years of direct management experience
  • Deep analytical experience with Excel, Tableau, Spotfire or similar tools
  • Working knowledge of R, Python and SQL based data coding languages
  • Knowledge of Data warehouse structures including cloud based technology
  • Knowledge of Data warehouse structures

  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
  • Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
