Position Summary

The Business Intelligence Developer will create compelling and action-oriented data visualizations and dashboards to promote data-driven decision making at JetBlue on the IT Business Intelligence Team.  The role will focus on analysis, design, and development of enterprise dashboards and reports. Key requirements for this position include an understanding of business objectives and processes, and technical expertise enterprise business intelligence technologies including Tableau and data warehouses.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and design high-quality dashboards and reports
  • Translate business requirements into thoughtful data visualizations and designs
  • Administer and support Tableau Online environment
  • Evaluate new technologies in the  business intelligence stack and make recommendations on potential enterprise adoption
  • Recommend changes to enterprise data models to better serve business intelligence needs
  • Define, design, document and socialize BI best practices across the company
  • Provide data visualization support to users across the company
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Three (3) years of experience creating data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to translate business requirements into visualization concepts
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Experience with dbt and Snowflake a major plus
