Position Summary:

Confident, trust-worthy and highly organized, the Coordinator Executive helps position JetBlue’s Chief People Officer and three (3) Vice Presidents within the People department for success by efficiently prioritizing time and being the “go-to” person to make things happen! The Coordinator is a resourceful jack-of-all-trades who sees the big picture but is not afraid to dive into the weeds. The Coordinator is also a natural collaborator who is friendly yet assertive in a team environment. Above all, the person in this position should delight in delivering great service in support of JetBlue’s mission to Inspire Humanity.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Presents a positive, inspiring and professional image of the Chief People Officer across a variety of work groups, businesses and interactions
  • Acts as the initial point of contact to the Chief People Officer while also being sensitive to existing peer relationships
  • Performs advanced, diversified and confidential administrative duties for the Chief People Officer as well as other senior leaders to ensure maximum efficiency of daily operations
  • Communicates decisions on behalf of the Chief People Officer when appropriate
  • Prepares presentations for high-level business meetings
  • Handles highly confidential subjects, including minutes of leadership meetings and performance management information
  • Compiles data, and drafts and prepares presentations for the Chief People Officer
  • Provides general administrative support such as handling the mail, screening and directing calls, managing calendars, making travel arrangements, creating/approving expense reports and other tasks
  • Plans internal functions for the Chief People Officer, including speaking engagements (Officer & Director Meetings, Pocket Sessions, People Department All Hands and Leadership Meetings, holiday events, external speaking engagements, etc.)
  • Participates in cross-functional special projects and assignments as assigned by the Chief People Officer
  • All other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or a related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience
  • Three (3) years of administrative experience in support of leadership
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, SharePoint and Excel
  • Experience organizing/coordinating projects while providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other office environments
  • Must be comfortable with managing the competing priorities in supporting the Chief People Officer
  • Experience organizing/coordinating projects while providing exceptional customer service 
  • Flexible and able to work at any time, including nights, weekends, and holidays 
  • Available for overnight travel (10%)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

 

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Five (5) years clerical or administrative experience in support of a C-Suite member  
  • Experience in Human Resources
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR)/Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification
  • Knowledge of HR related laws and best practices
  • Ability to multi-task and balance changing workload
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to multi-task and balance changing workload

 

Crewmember Expectations: 

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
  • Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))

Compensation:

  • The base pay range for this position is between $64,350.00 and $77,800.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more
