Coordinator Executive Legal
Position Summary:
The Executive Assistant provides high-level administrative support to JetBlue’s Legal and Corporate Secretarial Group. This role supports the General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and other legal officers, ensuring the efficient, confidential, and professional operation of the legal function. The ideal candidate has exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, and a deep understanding of legal operations within a regulated environment such as commercial aviation.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide direct administrative support to the General Counsel, including complex calendar management, travel coordination, and meeting logistics. Support senior legal officers with same, as time and bandwidth permit
- Review, proofread and distribute confidential legal and board materials, presentations, and correspondence
- Coordinate Board of Directors and committee meeting materials in partnership with the Corporate Secretary team
- Maintain legal files, corporate records, and governance platforms (e.g., Diligent), ensuring regulatory compliance and timely filing
- Track key legal and aviation regulatory deadlines as provided by legal team members (e.g., SEC, FAA, DOT) and assist in ensuring timely completion
- Support legal invoice processing, budgeting, and coordination with external counsel and legal vendors, in coordination with internal team
- Serve as a central point of contact for internal teams (e.g., Flight Ops, Government Affairs) and external stakeholders (e.g., outside counsel, regulators)
- Assist with department-wide initiatives, training, and communications
- Organize and coordinate team meetings, events, executive offsites, and industry conference participation
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Three (3) years of administrative or executive assistant experience, including experience supporting senior legal or C-suite executives
- Strong knowledge of administrative and governance support best practices
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat, and workflow platforms (e.g., DocuSign, Diligent)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across all levels
- Available for occasional extended hours in support of board meetings or filing deadlines
- Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work
- Experience in the aviation, transportation, or highly regulated industry.
- Familiarity with FAA, DOT, SEC, and NYSE governance requirements.
- Experience managing board or legal entity platforms (e.g., Diligent Entities, iManage).
Crewmember Expectations:
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

- Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $64,350.00 and $77,800.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more
