Title: Content Creator Social Media

Position Summary
The Content Creator, Social Media is responsible for developing and executing engaging visual motion content for JetBlue’s social media platforms. The Content Creator, Social Media will take an active role on the social media team working closely with peers to ideate and create content. They will also work closely with other teams within Marketing, Brand, Customer Service, and Corporate Communications to support the creation of social media content to align with company goals.
Essential Responsibilities
- In partnership with the social media team, conceptualize, storyboard, shoot, and edit short-form videos and animations for a wide range of social media channels including but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok
- Capture and edit raw video footage, photography, graphics, sound, and effects to create videos optimized for social media platforms using Adobe Creative Suite tools, CapCut, mobile tools, and in-platform video editing and creation functionality
- Responsible for pre-production planning, staffing, stakeholder management, location scheduling, storyboards, scripts, shot lists, releases, timelines, all aspects of on-site production, post-production, and final asset deliverables
- Stitch together static and/or existing video assets to create social videos with graphics
- Source and secure rights to user-generated content (UGC) for use on JetBlue social media channels
- Work alongside peers on social media team to plan social media calendar, content, and creative assets, proactively identifying opportunities for video or motion assets to enhance the story
- Attend events, activations, and photoshoots to capture video and photography for social media
- Develop and maintain social media video guidelines and standards in coordination with brand team to ensure fit under brand visual guidelines
- Consult on video asset creation for partners on collaboration posts or content featuring JetBlue
- Maintain knowledge of current social media trends, themes, and in-platform features and functionality including video editing and creation tools, and technical specifications
- Manage his/her own projects and timelines to ensure social media content is completed in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Advertising, Media, Marketing, or a related field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
- Three (3) years of content creation experience in a corporate marketing environment for social media
- Demonstrated passion, curiosity, and experience in ideating, strategizing, and making creative content on social media platforms both personally and professionally
- Professional experience with social media platforms including channel and scheduling tools
- Deep understanding of current social media platforms including features and functionality, social media video norms and themes, and up-and-coming trends
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite programs for video, animation, motion assets, mobile creator apps, and in-app creation and video editing, and CapCut
- Ability to set up a studio shoot, camera, audio, lighting, etc.
- Understanding of aspect ratios, frame rates, conversions, and codecs
- Experience with content capture for both low-fidelity (phone) and high-fidelity (DSLR) video styles
- Understanding of social media content planning workflows and project management
- Experience coordinating and collaborating with peers and cross-functional partners to create social media and video content
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, Google tools
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Must possess a strong sense of urgency and be able to effectively manage deadlines

Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Experience with social media content creation and strategy for a large company in travel or hospitality
- Strong portfolio showcasing video work across social media platforms in a professional setting for a large company

- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
- Occasional weekend work may be required to support social media coverage of events and activations
- Able to maintain a professional appearance
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $66,000.00 and $103,100.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more
