Position Title: Analyst, Strategic Sourcing

Position Summary:

The Analyst, Strategic Sourcing supports sourcing excellence at JetBlue by partnering with internal stakeholders and external Business Partners to deliver innovative, value-driven solutions across the business. This role goes beyond traditional cost savings by emphasizing strategic negotiation, Business Partner innovation and creative problem-solving to unlock long-term value. The Analyst supports and executes sourcing strategies, conducts financial modeling, and supports the development of forward-thinking commercial arrangements aligned with JetBlue’s strategic and operational priorities. Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Sourcing, this role supports Business Partner relationships, enables innovation, and helps JetBlue continue to buy smarter.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Executes end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives, including market research, Request for Proposal development, Business Partner negotiations and contract execution
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and develop sourcing approaches that drive innovation, mitigate risk and maximize value
  • Conducts robust financial, scenario and total-cost-of-ownership analysis to evaluate proposals and support sourcing recommendations
  • Partners with Legal, Finance, Accounting, IT Security, Privacy and operational teams to align commercial, contractual and risk considerations in Business Partner agreements
  • Monitor Business Partner performance and support continuous improvement efforts through regular reviews and partnership with internal business units and JetBlue Contract Management Lifecycle office
  • Contributes to the development and execution of multi-year sourcing roadmaps aligned with JetBlue’s strategic and operational priorities
  • Proactively monitors industry trends, Business Partner capabilities and emerging technologies to inform sourcing strategies and Business Partner selections
  • Prepares clear, data-driven recommendations, business cases to leadership for sourcing decisions.
  • Foster strong relationships with Business Partners and internal partners to support innovation, solve challenges collaboratively, and ensure business continuity
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Aviation, Finance or Engineering OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experience
  • Two (2) years of finance, strategic sourcing or equivalent experience
  • Expert with Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong financial modeling, quantitative and data analysis skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects and project communications and stakeholder expectations
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (20%)
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting sourcing or supplier management for information technology products and services, including software, Software as a Service (SaaS), cloud, hardware, telecommunications and professional services
  • Experience with e-procurement, sourcing and contract lifecycle management platforms, including Sirion, Airtable or similar tools
  • Previous experience working for an airline or knowledge of the aviation industry

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be availability to respond on short notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun
  • Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
  • Identify safety and security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR)) 
  • The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

Compensation:

  • The base pay range for this position is between $67,000.00 and $101,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
