Position Title: Analyst Security Systems

Position Summary

With the guidance of a Security Systems Manager, the Security Systems Analyst actively supports all aspects of the projects from start to finish with a particular emphasis on requirements, development, planning and successful execution. The Security Systems Analyst may occasionally serve as the project lead on smaller, well-defined projects or provide support to Systems Managers in project initiation activities.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Produce clear, detailed project scoping and design ensuring all phases of the developed scope are both in accordance with JetBlue policies as well as successfully delivered to the end user
  • Elicit and develop clear, traceable requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Oversee business partners ensuring successful implementation of agreed upon scope of work
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, subject matter experts, and other security team members to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
  • Assist in the development of business cases considering financial, resource, and technological constraints; develops cost estimates with consideration to business impacts and risks.
  • Proactively collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze security needs.      
  • Participate in project audits, closure activities or other quality initiatives as required by JetBlue security policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to all Safety and Security regulations
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development Diploma (GED)
  • One (1) year of related experience with CCTV and access control systems
  • Experience supporting projects with business users and IT components within a multi-faceted organization
  • Analytical and basic project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization,
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word and Visio; Access
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
  • Able to work flexible hours including some weekends and nights as well as respond on short-notice
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (45-50%)
  • In possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
  • Pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
  • Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Three (3) years Project Management Experience
  • Previous Security System Experience – CCTV, Access Control, and Low Voltage Cabling related to Security Systems or Networking.
  • Previous Network Experience
  • Cisco Certifications (CCNA or higher).
  • Microsoft Share Point  - (Developer / Designer)
  • Database Experience - SQL or Oracle Database Administration – Database Administrator or Report Writer.
  • Social Media – Corporate Communications / Administration (Twitter / Facebook / Etc).
  • Ability to review, consolidate, communicate and reverse-engineer complex technical and systems documentation;
  • Working knowledge of risk management and quality assurance standards and methodologies;
  • Experience in the commercial aviation industries with exposure to supporting security systems and technologies;
  • Strong interpersonal and demonstrated facilitation skills including the ability to motivate and influence others and an understanding of how security is ultimately delivered to the Customer;
  • High tolerance for working in a dynamic and shifting environment and able to readily embrace and participate in change initiatives
  • Bilingual Spanish

  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
  • Identify and recall JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS), Safety Policy, Security Policy and behavioral standards
