Position Summary:

The Product Manager (Analyst) will support the Product Development team by driving forward the inflight technology product vision across the entirety of the JetBlue fleet and is responsible for supporting workflows to enhance the UX of the seatback entertainment platforms through new feature development as well as assisting in the management of JetBlue’s inflight Wi-Fi product, Fly-Fi®. The Product Manager (Analyst), Product Development reports to the Manager, Product Development and is responsible for contributing to the execution of JetBlue’s long-term roadmap across customer-facing digital products onboard. In addition to a strong focus on ideating and executing on rolling out new features on JetBlue’s newest, open-source IFE platform, this Product Manager will support all three inflight entertainment (IFE) platforms, two Fly-Fi® platforms, and all crewmember-facing interfaces such as the IFE control panels and crewmember iPad applications.
The Product Manager will work across matrix stakeholders from Product, IT, Technical Operations (Engineering), Inflight, and external stakeholders from business partners such as Thales and Viasat to assist with product management and execution of plans for onboard technology products. This role will work on product roadmaps, scoping work, defining requirements, QC/acceptance testing, driving consensus across the organization, and leveraging customer insights to iterate and improve upon our products.

The Analyst should have vision in the consumer technology space, thrive in a fast-paced environment and be able to work collaboratively across company teams. The Product Manager also has technical knowledge as well as consumer-facing experience in the tech, mobile, entertainment or aviation sectors.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Work with departments across the company to define and support the execution of seatback entertainment and Fly-Fi roadmaps with a focus on customer-facing functionality and innovation
- Support project management of Fly-Fi and IFE software releases, including the requirements definition, milestones, QC/acceptance testing, and rollout management – including effective and persistent communication with internal teams to overcome any technical integration or timeline challenges
- Effectively balance an aggressive roadmap with budgetary and time-bound constraints, finding creative methodologies to deliver on the product vision
- Liaise with internal brand/design teams and external design agencies to ensure all requirements are captured and that we are delivering on an on-brand and user-friendly native UX
- Collaborate on the ongoing development of our next generation seatback entertainment product, including personalization, contactless payment technology, automation, seatback ordering, and connected features, aligning functionality with emerging consumer-products on the ground, such as streaming platforms
- Assist in the development of workstreams around inflight entertainment analytics, pulling reporting on top-performing content and making performance-based recommendations on future content decisions
- Convey system concepts to internal and external business partners, including information pertaining to competitive research, usability and user interface design (UX/UI)
- Manage communication of new features, functionalities and content initiatives to internal teams including Brand, Corporate Communications, and Social
- Proactively identify ways to innovate the Fly-Fi and entertainment experience across the JetBlue travel ribbon.
- Stay cutting-edge on technology trends to be able to innovate future product needs

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
- One (1) year of product development and /or software development experience
- Experience with hardware/software development within technical field and/or aviation
- Ability to problem solve and be solution oriented in a time-constrained environment
- Available for moderate overnight travel (30%)
- Able to work flexible work hours and be available for emergency response on short notice
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering
- Three (3) years of product development and/or software development experience
- Previous airline experience in a Commercial or Operational role.
- Ability to think big, yet be able to plot out and manage an implementation plan
- Understanding and experience with product development for a major consumer brand
- Experience with UI wire-framing in Figma

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $64,350.00 and $89,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more
