Position Title: Analyst, Marketing Sponsorships and LACAR  

 

Position Summary 

The Analyst, Marketing – Sponsorships and LACAR reports to the Manager, Brand Marketing and contributes to two key areas of the JetBlue marketing ecosystem.  Primarily, the analyst will drive and support the strategic direction, production, management and measurement of our integrated communications efforts in the LACAR market, primarily in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.  Additionally, the Analyst will manage relationships with key partners in JetBlue’s sponsorship portfolio, mainly centered on the arts in New York City and Boston.   

 

This broad and fast paced role necessitates someone who is an effective communicator, is comfortable working in an ever-changing environment, and has a strong sense of strategic direction and understanding of the integrated marketing eco-system. It is perfect for a candidate looking to tap into different, yet inter-connected areas of marketing and understand how all the communications levers work together. 

 

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Supports LACAR marketing strategy, brand campaigns, activations and storytelling, inclusive of crafting briefs, evaluating concepts and creative, and providing feedback 

  • Supporting and driving the day-to-day management of JetBlue’s LACAR agency relationships  

  • Serving as an internal workgroup liaison, supporting the Manager, Brand Marketing in securing stakeholder engagement and alignment throughout the planning, development and execution phases 

  • Acting as a “source of truth” for both the Brand Marketing team and broader cross-functional team on larger projects – ensuring (1) that all stakeholders are organized and in lockstep, and (2) that all communications are consistent and laddering up to the core strategy. 

  • Serving as the market by market expert in the LACAR region, with a keen knowledge of local and linguistic nuances 

  • Overseeing the production and execution of activations, responsible for the successful deployment of all campaign assets 

  • Assist in managing relationships with key partners in JetBlue’s sponsorship portfolio, focused on the arts 

  • Ensuring that our sponsorships are correctly leveraged and result in increased affinity to the JetBlue brand at a community and, when appropriate, city, state and/or national level 

  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Minimum Experience and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field 

  • One (1) year experience in Marketing, Social Media and Content Marketing, Advertising or related field   

  • Must be a native or fluent Spanish speaker 

  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and tight deadlines 

  • Ability to work in autonomous environment with changing priorities 

  • Ability to interact daily with people at different levels within the organization including developing and maintaining ongoing relationships 

  • Available for overnight travel (30%) 

  • Must be in possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States 

  • Able to work flexible hours and be available for an emergency response on short notice 

  • Able to pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test 

  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located 

 

Preferred Experience and Qualifications 

  • Three (3) years’ experience in brand, content, marketing or advertising  

  • Previous Travel or airline industry experience  

  • Experience in international marketing 

  • Experience in sponsorship marketing 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  

  • Strong interpersonal skills, amicable and professional demeanor 

  • Self-starter who is eager to participate and contribute 

 

Crewmember Expectations:  

  • Regular attendance and punctuality  

  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice 

  • Able to maintain a professional appearance 

  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
