Title:  Analyst Flight Operations- System Chief Pilot Office

The Analyst gathers, interprets, and reports data to the System Chief Pilot on all operational performance metrics for the Flight Operations department.  Using quantitative analysis methods, the Analyst tracks, trends, and reports departmental performance data in a manner affording the ability to make necessary process and operational enhancements based on factual and reliable data that directly impact the Pilot Crewmember and Customer experience.  To that end, the Analyst will command an understanding and management of the back-of-house database technology infrastructure used to supply data.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Compile, track, trend, and provide analysis of reports for the System Chief Pilot and Leadership on all departmental performance data metrics regularly including, but not limited to, On Time Performance (OTP), Dependability, Fuel Conservation and  data gathered from Flight Crew safety and irregularity reports
  • Recommend improvements to processes based on comprehensive data analysis of performance metrics
  • Manage database infrastructure, particularly SharePoint, Comply365 Forms, and other database platforms, supporting programs used to measure and report departmental performance
  • Track, and report on corrective action process with appropriate departments of issues reported through the Flight Crew reporting mechanisms
  • Provide analysis of data from Ask Flight, Ramp Concerns, FCIRs, and Safety reports to identify common trends for areas of improvement and overall risk of the Flight Operations department
  • Identify and analyze root cause of challenges identified through departmental and company Internal Evaluation Programs
  • Interface and communicate with other departments regularly to gather data relevant to Flight Operations performance
  • Partner with all levels of Flight Operations Leadership regarding proper understanding and use of metrics and data
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as it pertains to process improvement, program management, and quality assurance.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
  • One (1) year of analytical experience and/or quality management
  • Working knowledge and demonstrated competency with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook with expert abilities in Excel and SharePoint
  • Strong team building interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to interface well with Crewmembers at all levels of the Company to include the most senior level of JetBlue leadership as well as interface with the leadership of external business partners and regulatory agencies
  • Ability to acquire and present information through independent reading, interviews with subject-matter specialists, or other appropriate methods
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (up to 10%)
  • In possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
  • Able to pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

 

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Airline Operations or related field
  • One (1) year of Airline experience

  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft
