Title:  Expeditor Technical Purchasing

Position Summary:

The Expeditor, Technical Purchasing is responsible for monitoring and following up on outstanding purchase orders and ensures delivery terms are met. The Expeditor also runs reports, assists in investigating invoice discrepancies, and follows up on open purchase orders to ensure timely deliveries. The Expeditor plays a key role in ensuring parts availability and service level for the maintenance of the fleet.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Runs weekly open and closed Purchase Order (PO) reports
• Follows up on open Purchase Orders to reduce cycle time and improve accuracy
• Closes PO’s that have been delivered to JetBlue’s partner locations
• Researches and assists in resolving invoice and receiving discrepancies
• Assists Buyers with research, quotes and cutting PO's
• Acquires Proofs of Delivery for Purchase Orders
• Assists in maintaining inventory and updates the Inventory Management System as needed
• Runs reports for leadership and maintains the Business Partners Scorecard monthly metrics
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
• One (1) experience working in an administrative role

• Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record that meets JetBlue Airways’ insurance standards 
• Experience with Microsoft Excel platform for developing and reporting metrics
• Possess and maintain Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Secure Identification n Display Area (SIDA) badge for JFK International Airport
• Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
• Pass a pre-employment drug test
• Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
• Authorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• FAA Airframe and Powerplant License

• Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
• Able to maintain a professional appearance
• When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

• Adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls
• Upholding JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understanding how they relate to their duties and responsibilities

Compensation: 

• The base pay range for this position is between $17.50 and $20.00 per hour.  Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
