Title: Coordinator Security

Position Summary
The Coordinator Security provides daily coverage at our Kennedy Airport, Terminal 5 (JFK) ID/Badging Office. The Coordinator greets and assists all crewmembers and business partners upon arrival at JFK who need assistance regarding their JetBlue ID or Business Partner ID. As the company’s primary point of contact at JFK, the Coordinator provides customer service and guidance to all crewmembers and business partners assisting with access control and credentialing requests through our internal Service Now Portal.
Essential Responsibilities
- Greet, verify identity and assist all visitors, crewmembers and business partners arriving at our JFK badging office
- Ensure effective, courteous and timely service is provided to all visiting entities
- Interface effectively with local law enforcement, business partners, and fellow JFK crewmembers to enhance overall terminal security
- Work with our CCTV system with an ability to create accounts and extract video to assist with any safety investigations/reviews
- Process crewmember company ID card renewals in a professional, courteous, and prompt manner
- Assist at our new hire orientations which occur monthly in Orlando, FL
- Answer and screen corporate telephone lines and direct outside callers as appropriate
- Ensure adherence to all safety and security regulations
- All other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
- Associate’s degree from an accredited university
- One (1) year in law enforcement, corporate security, military and/or appropriate airline experience
- Must be able to operate computers proficiently, to use security system programs and email
- Able to answer telephone calls and personal interactions in a polite and professional manner
- Complete fluency in written and spoken English
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Available for occasional overnight travel (25%)
- Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
- Depending on location, may need to acquire and maintain a United States Customs Clearance
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test
- Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located
- Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
- Five (5) years of experience in law enforcement, corporate security and/or Military experience
- Experience with CCTV, access control, ID media badging systems, Visitor Management Software
- Knowledge of MS SharePoint, Excel, CCURE and Office
- Bilingual (Spanish)
Crewmember Expectations:
- Regular attendance and punctuality.
- Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice.
- Able to maintain a professional appearance.
- When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft.

- Identify safety and/or security concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))
- The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.

Compensation:
- The base pay range for this position is between $23.00 and $30.00 per hour. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
