Position Summary

The Auditor is responsible for monitoring accuracy of inventory data and makes amendments to inventory records.  The position is accountable for communicating relevant data to Corporate Audit, Finance, and Materiel leadership including irregularities and cost saving initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Compiles, reconciles and reports station inventory.
  • Prepare semiannual spare parts appraisal.
  • Reconciles inventory discrepancies within TRAX and monitors internal controls when needed.
  • Reports financial adjustments to Accounting Management.
  • Adhere to Sarbanes Oxley 404 and inventory Risk Assessment Management (RAM) are in compliance and file with E & Y, SH & E and Corporate Audit.
  • Provides periodic statistical information to leadership regarding trends, recommendations and future initiatives.
  • Review and analyze the missing parts queue and inventory discrepancies.
  • Performs material station and third party audits and builds inventory control.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) Diploma
  • Two (2) years of Inventory Management experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office suite software such as MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint
  • Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and driving record that meets JetBlue Airways’ insurance standards
  • Available for overnight travel: 70%
  • Excellent verbal and written communication  skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Valid travel documents with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
  • Pass a ten (10) year background check, pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelors in Accounting or Business or related discipline
  • Proficient in Inventory Control System i.e. TRAX
  • One (1) year airline industry experience
  • Certified Six Sigma Green Belt

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
