Position Summary:

The Analyst, Materials Reporting reports to the Manager Materials Reporting and is responsible for measuring and monitoring JetBlue’s Supply Chain and Materials Operations processes. This position will collect, analyze, and report data on all Materials Operations and Supply Chain metrics including but not limited to Purchasing, Repairs, Warranties, Movements, Planning, Inventory Control, and Materials Operations. This position will be based in Long Island City, NY.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Measure, monitor, and identify potential improvements to inventory and spare part transactions throughout all supply chain processes, including the flow of material during purchasing, repair, and movement transactions.
  • Continuously improve a system of scorecards to track internal JetBlue processes and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and help identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
  • Collect data and present to a real-time dashboard on operational metrics at all JetBlue Materials Operations stations.
  • Provide operational status reports on a regular basis as determined by the Materials Operations team.
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives related to Materials and Supply Chain processes.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
  • One (1) year finance, accounting, material planning or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite and more advanced analytical and statistical tools
  • Excellent verbal and written interaction to effectively manage communications and stakeholder expectations.
  • Prior data collection and data analyzation experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, initiatives simultaneously
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (5%)
  • Currently in possession of a valid Passport with the ability to travel in and out of the United States
  • Must be able to acquire and maintain a valid Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Badge
  • Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Science or Aviation Management
  • Familiarity using either TRAX or similar M&E Systems
  • Familiarity using either Sabre or similar system

  • Regular attendance and punctuality
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice
  • Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft

  • Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards
  • Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR))
